A lot like our selections run yesterday – it’s abject fodder on offer at Hamilton & Lingfield. The only race of real interest being the 15.40 at Lingfield that has turned into a 6 runner with Colonel Frank one we backed LTO for a 12/1 place at Ripon…..he should go close and on offer at around 4’s stepped up  slightly. He battled when when headed at Newmarket in that last run almost getting back at the winner, Mountain Rescue.

There’s the speedmeisters views on Fairyhouse for those wanting some Irish action to ad to the above.

5.50 Fairyhouse Welcomes Competitors of The Tattersalls International Horse Trials Claiming 1¼m

Analyst’s Verdict:
A potential match between stablemates Talk Now and Hyperlapse, the former the preferred choice on these terms.

Timeform Top Rated:
97 6. TALK NOW G. M. Lyons S. P. Davis (7)
80 1. HYPERLAPSE G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane
71 5. CAPITALIST QUEEN T. F. Shaw C. D. Hayes

6.20 Bookmakers 6f

Analyst’s Verdict:
Battle of Jericho is very much the one to beat back in calmer waters, with My Silver Nails perhaps the one to follow him home.

Timeform Top Rated:
112 1. BATTLE OF JERICHO Aidan O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien
95 4. MY SILVER NAILS Michael Mulvany G. F. Carroll
88 2. VERHOYEN M. C. Grassick William James Lee

6.50 Foran Equine Irish European Breeders Fund Auction Maiden 6f
Rating of previous winners: – 103 93 97 106 (Avg 100)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Palabres was unable to justify market support on debut at Navan last month, yet she arguably wasn’t seen to best effect and kept on well enough without being knocked about. She looks a sure-fire improver moving forward and gets the narrow vote to come out on top. Newcomers Rhosgobel, Heavenly Rainbow and Saltillo all require market attention though, whilst Cruella Dovil is no forlorn hope either.

Timeform Top Rated
92p 16. PALABRES G. M. Lyons S. P. Davis (7)
91p 11. CRUELLA DOVIL John Patrick Murtagh Shane Foley
86p 2. COUNT D’ORSAY Charles O’Brien Declan McDonogh

7.20 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden 6f

Analyst’s Verdict:
Excelling Spirit shaped very well when runner-up in a big field at the Curragh on debut 3 weeks ago and is narrowly preferred to Elegant Drama, who sets a high standard.

Timeform Top Rated
96 9. ELEGANT DRAMA G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane
87p 10. EXCELLING SPIRIT W. McCreery William James Lee
77p 5. DAUBNEY’S DREAM Ms Sheila Lavery G. F. Carroll

7.50 Bookmakers Handicap 7f

Analyst’s Verdict:
Namazee shaped quite nicely when a close fourth on her Dundalk handicap debut/reappearance at the start of this month and is taken to build on that now. Art of America is a likely threat on the back of a good second at Tipperary last month, while Waitingfortheday is a likely improver now handicapping up in trip for Joseph O’Brien.

Timeform Top Rated
78 3. NAMAZEE A. Slattery Ben Martin Coen (7)
77 11. MAGSMILLIE William Durkan R. P. Downey (3)
77 19. AR SAOIRSE David Marnane Reserve

8.20 Next Meeting At Fairyhouse June 15th Apprentice Handicap 1¼m

Analyst’s Verdict:
Camile remains well treated on old form so should continue to give a good account for her current yard. Happy Company is feared now he’s found some form again, along with handicapdebutant Los Alamos.

Timeform Top Rated
78+ 4. CAMILE Joseph Patrick O’Brien S. M. Crosse (4)
76 5. HAPPY COMPANY P. J. Hassett S. P. Davis (2)
75 2. PARI PASSU Anthony Mullins L. T. McAteer (7)

8.50 Fairyhouse Special Offers Fillies Maiden 1¼m
Rating of previous winners: 89 94 83 88 93 (Avg 89)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Athena bumped into a leading Oaks fancy at Newbury 12 days ago and she sets a very high standard on that form. She’ll take plenty of stopping, though Samasthiti, Laajidaal and Tissiak are a trio of likely improvers.

Timeform Top Rated
103 4. ATHENA Aidan O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien
86p 9. SAMASTHITI John M. Oxx William James Lee
83 5. CITY BALLERINA Mrs J. Harrington C. O’Donoghue

Check these guys out if you haven't already heard of them!

We think you should check out the service from the guys from Cleeve – they target higher end c2+ than ourselves and have got off to a good start this season. Have a look around their site linked below with a past results visible. Our selections shouldn’t clash due to the nature of races we tend to get involved with and should be a nice complimentary and personal service from Nick & the guys to run alongside our own this summer.

  1. I have been receiving my email later and later. I didn’t receive yesterday’s until 1.36 pm are you now sending them later. Best wishes Alan

    • Hi Alan,

we have just changed hosting and with all the gdpr stuff there seems to have been a backlog of emails going out – it should right itself but please check the website daily at 8.00am as it always goes live there at that time
