No turf today so there’s just Timeform from Lingfield for those punting AW…the only one of note their (17.35) being Roundabout Magic who we have tipped up on an odd occasion on the flat. He’s a multiple C&D winner here and Nicky Mackay is his regular AW pilot. Simon Dow’s charge should be around the slots though it’s a shortish priced best 7/2 and maybe one for those looking at small small lumping acca’s?

It’s also looking like Saturday may be our next bet at Redcar……..Friday’s Ascot card has a sole C3 stakes race that doesn’t look worth getting involved in with a whole host of improving 3yo’s going to post.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….our bank has NOW grown by over 250% with an ROI of over 25%….current stakes are now £39.76 EW

1.50 Best Odds Guaranteed At 188Bet Handicap (5) 1m1y

Timeform Top Rated
92 8. GOODWOOD SHOWMAN William Knight Silvestre De Sousa
91+ 4. GRACEFUL JAMES Jimmy Fox Kieran O’Neill
90p 9. SPACE TALK Harry Dunlop James Doyle

Analyst’s Verdict:
Goodwood Showman left the impression he would have given The Warrior plenty to think about with a clear run over C&D last week and is taken to get back on track with another win. Space Talk seems sure to pick up a race soon and looks the biggest danger ahead of Arctic Sea.

2.20 188Bet Extra Place Races Maiden Stakes (5) (D.I) 1m1y

Timeform Top Rated
92 8. CONTRIVE Roger Varian Andrea Atzeni
90 4. COGITAL Amanda Perrett Jason Watson (3)
89+ 3. ALGAFFAAL William Haggas Jim Crowley

Analyst’s Verdict:
We probably haven’t seen the best of the well-bred Algaffaal and he is worth chancing after a break/ gelding operation switched to AW. Contrive and Cogital are more exposed but have both shown enough to win a race like this. Alexandria is an interesting newcomer for Luca Cumani.

2.55 188Bet Extra Place Races Maiden Stakes (5) (D.II) 1m1y

Timeform Top Rated
88p 2. GAUDI John Gosden Robert Havlin
66 1. TRALEE HILLS Peter Hedger Charles Bishop
57p 5. SIR MAGNUM Tony Carroll Tom Marquand

Analyst’s Verdict:
This likely only concerns three, with Gaudi taken to kick on again and open his account on the back of a fine return at Chelmsford. Newcomers Jalaad and Thaayer both make plenty of appeal on paper.

3.25 Witheford Equine Barrier Trials At Lingfield Park Nursery Handicap (4) 1m1y

Timeform Top Rated
90 6. SO HI CLASS Marco Botti Marc Monaghan (3)
88 2. FOX FEARLESS Ralph Beckett Silvestre De Sousa
88 7. CROMWELL Luke Dace Isobel Francis (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Not a lot between these but So Hi Class has done well since switched to AW nurseries and could be the way to go, although Sophosc has every chance of getting the hat-trick up.

4.00 Injured Jockeys Fund EBF Novice Stakes (5) 7f1y

Timeform Top Rated
92p 1. ATTAINMENT James Tate James Doyle
90 10. VOLTAIC Paul Cole Robert Havlin
88 11. GASLIGHT James Fanshawe Daniel Muscutt

Analyst’s Verdict:
Attainment’s pedigree suggests he could do well on AW and he’s taken to build on an encouraging third at Leicester last week. Godolphin-newcomer Silent Hunter rates a likely danger, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. Gaslight and Voltaic are also likely to be in the shake-up.

4.30 Racing Welfare Fillies’ Handicap (5) 7f1y

Timeform Top Rated
93p 14. SILVER SWIFT Andrew Balding Jason Watson (3)
90 7. HERE’S TWO Ron Hodges Kieran O’Neill
89 1. SEPRANI Marco Botti Gabriele Malune (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Plenty of runners but Silver Swift still rather stands out on the back of her successful handicap debut at Salisbury last month. Andrew Balding’s charge had plenty up her sleeve on that occasion and a 7 lb rise doesn’t look enough to prevent her following up. Seprani, Wilbury Twist and Sonnet Rose look best of the remainder.

5.05 188Bet Mobile Bet10 Get20 Handicap (5) 1m7f169y

Timeform Top Rated
83 3. AGAINST THE ODDS Tom Clover Adam Kirby
82 6. PERLA BLANCA Ed Dunlop Josephine Gordon
81 4. BAMAKO DU CHATELET Ian Williams Fran Berry

Analyst’s Verdict:
Perla Blanca has been absent since making her first start over 2m a winning one at Doncaster in July but is unexposed as a stayer and her reappearance second shows she’s capable of going well when fresh. Voluminous could be just getting her act together based on her latest turf win here and is much respected up in trip, while Bamako du Chatelet has a good record here and arrives in winning form.

5.35 188Bet Casino Handicap (6) 5f6y

Timeform Top Rated
82 8. PROMINNA Tony Carroll Luke Morris
81 3. KRYSTALLITE Scott Dixon Theodore Ladd (5)
81 5. MERCERS Paddy Butler Jason Watson (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Prominna was only narrowly denied off this mark over C&D last week and can gain compensation under Luke Morris. Staffa may have just needed the run after a short break last time and has claims on her placed efforts prior to that. Roundabout Magic was successful over C&D the last time he contested a Class 6 and is also respected.
