A nice pick up with HITMAN yesterday at Thirsk….advised best 10’s and we ‘hit the bar’ with Mywayistheonlyway at 4’s to send the bank through the £2k mark.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge, it’s been 3 months of incremental profits…….our bank has grown by over 115% with an ROI of over 45%….current stakes are now £27.02 EW

Today, there’s racing from our local track Haydock where there’s Timeform ratings below – we’d expect Alan Bailey’s Fleeting Freedom to go close to losing her maiden tag in the 14.00 – however is less than 4’s and we think we have a nice value one for members at Newbury this evening.

2.00 Ritec Clearshield Fillies’ Handicap (5) 7f212y

Timeform Top Rated:
82 2. MAKE ON MADAM Les Eyre Silvestre De Sousa
80 7. KIRBEC Keith Dalgleish Connor Beasley
79 1. FLEETING FREEDOM Alan Bailey Joshua Bryan (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Cherubic ran really well when third in a better race than this at Newmarket a fortnight ago, and from 1 lb lower with a good-value 7 lb claimer enlisted, she has plenty to recommend her. Make On Madam is consistent at this sort of level, while Fleeting Freedom is another to consider.

2.30 Pilkington Glass EBF Stallions Novice Stakes (4) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
96p 5. JONAH JONES Tom Dascombe Richard Kingscote
92p 1. HESSLEWOOD James Bethell Kevin Stott
83 2. BEAUTY CONCEPT Richard Hannon Silvestre De Sousa

Analyst’s Verdict:
Jonah Jones shaped like arguably the most promising horse in the race when third to Hesslewood on debut at York and is taken to improve past that rival and strike. Cracking Speed heads up a group of interesting newcomers.

3.00 Distinction Difference Nursery Handicap (5) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
91 2. FINOAH Tom Dascombe Alistair Rawlinson
89 1. HIGH HORSE Clive Cox Paul Mulrennan
88p 8. VENTURA BAY Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Ventura Bay ‘s opening mark looks workable based on his latest Chester third and he gets the nod with further improvement on the cards. Five Helmets was only narrowly behind Richard Fahey’s charge at Chester and can go well, while High Horse has gone close on all 3 starts and is much respected despite clear top weight.

3.30 On-Level On The Up EBF Novice Stakes (4) 6f212y

Timeform Top Rated:
99p 5. PABLO ESCOBARR Mark Johnston Silvestre De Sousa
94p 1. CRITICAL DATA Richard Hannon Tom Marquand
92p 2. DROGON Tom Dascombe Richard Kingscote

Analyst’s Verdict:
Pablo Escobarr was backed and made a very promising debut over C&D 3 weeks ago. He’ll be hard to beat if improving on that as expected. Lingfield winner Critical Data is the obvious danger.

4.00 TuffX Glass Handicap (5) 6f212y

Timeform Top Rated:
87 5. GOLDEN GUEST Les Eyre Daniel Tudhope
86 1. ZYLAN Roger Fell Tony Hamilton
85 6. ZEBULON Ruth Carr James Sullivan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Golden Guest won in good style at Doncaster last week and can follow up under a penalty from the other last-time-out winner Zylan. Kirkham could emerge as a big danger.

4.30 Be A Winner With Bohle Handicap (4) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
105 2. EEH BAH GUM Tim Easterby David Allan
101 5. QUAYSIDE Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
98p 4. CANFORD ART Peter Fahey David Egan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Landing a 5-timer in sprint handicaps is a big achievement but, given the style in which Eeh Bah Gum completed his latest success, it’s a feat that he’s definitely capable of accomplishing here despite a 9 lb rise. He’s an obvious choice ahead of another last-time-out winner in Marnie James, with Canford Art also considered.

5.00 Supalite Tiled Roof Apprentice Training Series Handicap (5) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
87 1. DAPPER MAN Roger Fell Ben Sanderson
86 3. MUSHARRIF Declan Carroll Ger O’Neill
85 4. TEEPEE TIME Michael Mullineaux Elisha Whittington (2)

Analyst’s Verdict:
A small field but it contains some in-form sprinters. Dapper Man gets the nod to maintain last week’s superiority over Musharrif despite meeting him on 6 lb worse terms. Recent Leicester scorer Teepee Time and the consistent Foxtrot Knight are also likely to be on the premises.
