Music Seeker…..(yesterdays’ notes) just about summed up our performance at the moment by notching unbacked at 7’s  last night with our selection running third in a race reduced to 7 runners…argghh!

Today sees a couple of races at Ripon where there’s a few going we have backed previously………both 7 runner affairs and only 2 paying places.

In the 15.10 our LTO winner, Jedd O’Keefe’s Remember The Days was strong at the finish that befits his 7/4 favouritsm and one for you lumpers looking to follow up – Roger Fell’s Mullagatawny looks the pick of the wipes yer face EW hopeful’s with a slight drift this morning from 9/2 to 11/2 ….he’s a couple below last years winning marks and ran a decent race at Chester LTO.

The 15.40 a real conundrum….we mentioned Karen McLintock’s form earlier this week and Gurkha Friend is likely to give it a go from the front under top front man De Sousa whilst Zodiakos goes….again for Roger Fell who disappointed for us last week at double digit odds. We backed FRANK BRIDGE here for a place earlier this season and also when he was unplaced in a hot C3 at Sandown. However, he does have a liking for fields of less than 10 runners where his current form is 2-3-1-2-1-5 and would be our selection had it been a 3 paying place race.

Over at Haydock, another of our previous winners, Acclaim The Nation heads up the 16.00 market at around 2’s and little value for a follow up and we’re on another for our members’ selection today.

2.00 188Bet Cash Back If Brazil Win Handicap (5) 1m3f140y

Timeform Top Rated:
84p 1. GROVEMAN Charles Hills Callum Shepherd
83p 7. THE KNOT IS TIED Tim Easterby James Sullivan
82+ 6. PEPPER STREET Hugo Palmer Non Runner

Analyst’s Verdict:
An interesting race of its type with a chance taken on Groveman. He showed definite signs of promise last term and, with his Goodwood return likely to have brought him on plenty, he could well be ready to strike. Airmax for last year’s winning trainer and Beverley winner Quantatmental are just a couple of potential threats.

2.30 188Bet Casino EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (4) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
94p 1. ANGEL’S HIDEAWAY John Gosden Robert Havlin
93p 13. SUMMER BLOSSOM Archie Watson Daniel Tudhope
93p 8. LAXMI Brian Meehan Harry Bentley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Angel’s Hideaway pulled clear of the others when a promising third at Newmarket on debut and is narrowly preferred to Laxmi and Summer Blossom, who also showed plenty of encouragement first-time up.

3.00 188Bet Mobile Bet10 Get20 Novice Stakes (4) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
101p 5. SOLDIER’S CALL Archie Watson Daniel Tudhope
96p 2. BLYTON Tom Dascombe Richard Kingscote
75p 6. PRINCESS POWER Nigel Tinkler Lewis Edmunds (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Soldier’s Call made a very encouraging start at Lingfield and is taken to improve past the equallypromising Blyton and open his account.

3.30 Download The App At 188Bet Handicap (5) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
86 8. WARRIOR’S VALLEY David C. Griffiths Richard Kingscote
85 7. QUAYSIDE Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
84 10. LOULIN Ruth Carr James Sullivan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Paco Escostar caught the eye on her return/handicap bow at Carlisle and almost certainly has a bigger performance in her locker. Loulin has a similar profile to the selection and may emerge as the biggest threat ahead of the front-running Warrior’s Valley.

4.00 Play Roulette At 188Bet Casino Handicap (4) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
107 6. ACCLAIM THE NATION Eric Alston Tom Eaves
104 3. CONFESSIONAL Tim Easterby James Sullivan
104 7. BASHIBA Nigel Tinkler Lewis Edmunds (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Acclaim The Nation is still lightly raced for a sprinter, and he looks sure to win more races provided the headgear continues to have a calming effect. Bashiba is on a good mark if able to build on his latest effort, with the consistent Leo Minor completing the shortlist.

4.30 Enhanced World Cup Specials At 188Bet “Confined” Novice Stakes (4) 6f212y

Timeform Top Rated:
100p 11. TAHREEK Sir Michael Stoute David Probert
98p 1. MYSTIC FLIGHT Roger Varian Jack Mitchell
93 10. STRATEGIST William Haggas J-P. Guillambert

Analyst’s Verdict:
Mystic Flight belied market weakness and looked potentially smart when scoring on debut at Newbury recently, impressing with his turn of foot. Open to improvement, he earns the vote to follow up under a penalty. A number in opposition appeal in their own right though, Tahreek, Strategist and Rock Boy Grey chief amongst them.

5.00 Play Blackjack At 188Bet Casino Handicap (Lady Amateur Riders) (5) 1m3f140y

Timeform Top Rated:
104+ 1. MAGHFOOR Eric Alston Miss Catherine Walton
103+ 7. DUKE OF YORKSHIRE Tim Easterby Miss Emily Easterby (3)
103 5. BOUNDERBY Daniel Loughnane Mrs Katherine Begley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Beach Break is still relatively unexposed on the Flat and, following an excellent run over hurdles last time, looks to have an excellent chance with blinkers re-fitted. Ex-Godolphin Maghfoor is another one with few miles on the clock who is of definite interest. Duke of Yorkshire makes his reappearance off an appealing mark.

WOWSER!!!!!

The guys from Cleeve have really hit the ground running in May with OVER 67PTS PROFIT as we take a step forward and one back !!!!

Like we said previous…….they target higher end c2+ than ourselves and have got off to a cracking start to the season. Have a look around their site linked below with a past results visible.

Our selections shouldn’t clash due to the nature of races we tend to get involved with and should be a nice complimentary and personal service from Nick & the guys to run alongside our own this summer.
