Thursday Newsletter – 9th May 2019

Day 2 of the Chester May meeting being Ladies Day and hopefully they will enjoy better weather than was served up yesterday.

A couple from the trackers meet H2H in the opener (13.50) with both of them with seemingly plum draws – Copper Knight and Mokaatil come out of traps 1 and 2 respectively with the former being made a short priced favourite for this.

They both ran decent races LTO at Musselburgh for differing reasons with the former being of more interest to lumpers out there on around 9/4. He ran that pipeopener from off the pace and drawn to run in his usual prominent style shouldn’t be far away, though is 3 above his highest winning rating. The latter’s nice 2 draw could well be negated if he goes as a hold up as per his usual style and we’ll sit this one out.

Today’s Selections

Chester 17.05

We backed AL JELLABY last time out having come from our opening Donny Lincoln meet Donny notes. He was pulled on account of the going prior to his last run at Donny but that was a sound run over the 10f.

The debate about whether he gets the 10 will go on till he wins, but running on a continual turn should make it a tad easier.

His mark is unchanged and decently drawn near the rail looks solid wipes yer face 5/1 across the patch for Clive Cox’s sole runner of the meeting
