A very quiet day and despite a meet at Pontefract we’ve nothing from there and it’s one when there’s again not a whole lot on in terms of value selections at north of 8/1…..our only interest is one we have backed previously down at Brighton on at wipes yer face prices 🙁 ….we’ll be taking that as our members selection today with Timeform below for the same meet.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge, it’s been 3 months of incremental profits…….our bank has grown by over 98% with an ROI of over 34%….current stakes are now £24.77 EW

5.40 Ron Clifford 50th Anniversary Memorial Selling Handicap (6) 5f215y

Timeform Top Rated:
75 7. CANTSTOPTHEROCK Olly Murphy Luke Morris
74 2. SCENERY Eve Johnson Houghton Charles Bishop
73+ 5. SEAFORTH Daniel Loughnane Kieran O’Neill

Analyst’s Verdict:
While Cantstoptherock failed to pull up any trees in Ireland, the hint may be worth taking if the market vibes are positive. Indeed, she is making her debut for the shrewd Olly Murphy yard off a basement mark, plus the combination of dropping back in trip and first-time blinkers are other potential positive factors. Seaforth is 0-24 but needs considering, as does last year’s winner Wild Flower.

6.10 Call Star Sports On 08000 521321 Novice Stakes (5) 6f210y

Timeform Top Rated:
101 1. BURJ Saeed bin Suroor Edward Greatrex
84 3. TREASURE QUEST Brian Meehan Nicola Currie (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Hard to see past Burj, who should have far too much class for his 2 rivals back down in grade having contested the Coventry last time.

6.40 Bet Online Now! Starsports.Bet Fillies’ Handicap (5) 6f210y

Timeform Top Rated:
83 3. GAINSAY Jonathan Portman Rob Hornby
81 7. TOPMEUP Gay Kelleway John Egan
77 5. KACHUMBA Rae Guest David Prober

Analyst’s Verdict:
Gainsay has proved a different proposition switched to handicaps this year, notching her third victory of the campaign on turf at Lingfield recently. A 5 lb rise looks manageable, conditions are again in her favour and she’s proven round here (C&D winner in May). Topmeup found just one too good over 1¼m here last week and, with the drop back in trip no problem, she is next best ahead of Kachumba.

7.10 Follow Us On Twitter @starsports_bet Handicap (4) 1m3f198y

Timeform Top Rated:
101 3. GENETICS Andrew Balding David Probert
100+ 1. WORLD WAR Archie Watson Edward Greatrex
100 2. OASIS FANTASY David Simcock Daniel Muscutt

Analyst’s Verdict:
Genetics has been in good form in small-field handicaps, winning over C&D last month, and just about makes most appeal ahead of the thriving Roy Rocket, who steps up a fair bit in grade.

7.40 starspreads.com Handicap (6) 7f211y

Timeform Top Rated:
73 1. JUNOESQUE John Gallagher Paddy Pilley (3)
73§ 6. FLYING SAKHEE John Bridger Kieran O’Neill
72 4. SHARP OPERATOR Charlie Wallis William Carson

Analyst’s Verdict:
Hidden Stash is taken to follow up last month’s C&D win having landed back-to-back races in the past. Junoesque finally got off the mark here a fortnight ago and could kick on now. Sharp Operator also enters calculations.

8.10 Call Star Spreads On 00353 1884 8114 Handicap (5) 5f215y

Timeform Top Rated:
89 1. STARBOY George Scott Gabriele Malune (5)
88 5. SPANISH STAR Patrick Chamings David Probert
87 6. FIRENZE ROSA John Bridger Kieran O’Neill

Analyst’s Verdict:
This should be run at a good clip and Spanish Star, who didn’t get the best of runs when a couple of places behind Firenze Rosa at Windsor, may be able to land a telling late blow and open his account. Firenze Rosa should again be in the thick of things but Starboy, who did the job well over 7f here last week, could prove most troublesome.

8.40 Visit Our Shop Star Sports Mayfair Handicap (6) 6f210y

Timeform Top Rated:
73 2. CHIZZ DE BIZ Daniel Kubler Luke Morris
72 1. BOMBSHELL BAY Richard Hannon Seamus Cronin (7)
70 6. VALERIE’S MEMORY Philip Hide David Probert

Analyst’s Verdict:
Chizz de Biz is taken to bounce back from her Wetherby disappointment having created a good impression when winning here on her reappearance. Bombshell Bay is feared most ahead of Patty Patch.
