Tuesday Newsletter – 21st May 2019
Racing at Nottingham and Brighton today with some fairly low key affairs, the former has predominantly 3yo & novice events with not a whole load of interest.
One we noted LTO in the tracker notes was Kevin Ryan’s Aghast who won readily at Thirsk on seasonal 3yo debut. He goes in the (17.25) but there’s a few too many unknowns in this one with last years winning stable, Hughie Morrison entering up Requited. Oisin Murphy is up top of that one and the trainer has an excellent record around here with his 3yo’s – both are on at just better than wipes yer face EW.
Not quite sure what was going on yesterday, with some strange results at Carlisle 🙂 The race we featured threw up 18/1 winner, Firmdecisions winning at 5f for the first time as an 8yo for Nigel Tinkler and Redrosezorro placing for the first time with ‘firm’ in the title!!
Later, Dianne Sayers Redarna, who we can usually count on for a 7f soft win at Ayr, decides to throw one in at Carlisle on quick going.
FFS….was there an underground leak or some secret watering going 🙂
Disappointingly we missed out on Roger Fell’s Tadaawol who was a 3/1 winner after monitoring through the tracker over the last few weeks….c’est la vie, we’ll have to take that one and move on 🙁
