A nice quick follow up to Redrosezorro on the weekend with CAMACHO CHIEF coming home for Paula Muir as a highly gambled on 5/2 favourite for Michael Dods. Hopefully most of you got that early price of 6/1 when we went live at 8.00am……it was also nice to name the 2nd horse home Leo Minor – that paid over £30 on the straight forecast for some of you who nibble on those.

That’s pushed us to OVER £3,500 on our £1k to £10k and with the stakes ever increasing, hopefully we can crack on through £5k….albeit the missus’s Betfair account has just been restricted 

Just Beverley on today with abridged Timeform below……whilst at Chelmsford our previous winner Indian Pursuit chases a 3 timer on the AW in the 20.15 – he’s just around 3’s and not having won out of C6 is a leaver for us today and we’ll keep those previous winnings in the bank.

Those with experience don’t set the bar particularly high and it’s perhaps worth taking a chance on Kevin Ryan newcomer Power Rush, although the market will reveal more. Haadhir has been consistent in similar events and is likely to be on the premises again, while Melgate Magic took a step forward at Wolverhampton last time and should have more to offer.

Not a strong maiden, so newcomer War Chariot, the first foal of a debut 2-y-o winner, could be up to the job. Four Mile Bridge and Sameem are probably the pick of those with experience.

Perfect Pasture ran well off top weight in the Ayr Gold Cup on Saturday and may take the beating if this doesn’t come too quickly. This scenario should suit Chelmsford-winner Merhoob and he could go well again.

Detachment turned a slightly stronger handicap than this into a one-sided affair at Pontefract on Thursday and is very much the one to beat under a penalty. 3-y-o Archie Perkins chases a hattrick and has landed the inside stall, so is second choice, though Stubytuesday could easily revive having dipped below his last successful mark.

The hint should be taken if the market speaks in favour of likely-looking newcomer Charles Kingsley. Indeed, he’s been found a very winnable race in which to kick-start his career. Thawry is clearly effective on a slow surface judged on his efforts in France, but he’s hardly progressive and Athary, who showed ability on debut at Windsor, is feared most.
