Analyst’s Verdict:
Alminoor is a half brother to a couple of smart performers who both won at 2 yrs and his sales price increased to £135,000 as a yearling, so he has a lot to recommend him on paper. Mystic Knight is a brother to the sharp Copper Knight so he could easily be an early juvenile, with Baileys Freedom another likely type before market clues.

82 4. OROBAS Lucinda Egerton Ben Curtis
80+ 7. SOSIAN Richard Fahey Paddy Mathers
79 1. SIOUX FRONTIER Iain Jardine Lewis Edmunds

Analyst’s Verdict:
Home Before Dusk was runner-up off 5 lb higher when last seen on turf and, fit from AW, might be worth siding with to get off the mark at the ninth time of asking. Enemy of The State went close over C&D when last seen and will be a threat if ready to roll on his first outing for a new yard after 7 months off. Sosian also makes the shortlist.

3.15 Borderlescott Sprint Trophy Conditions Stakes (2) 5f1y

Timeform Top Rated
131 7. TARBOOSH Paul Midgley Kevin Stott
127 4. MERHOOB John Ryan Paul Hanagan
123 1. EL ASTRONAUTE John Quinn Jason Hart

Analyst’s Verdict:
Merhoob has gone from strength to strength on AW this winter and it’s possible he could have a race-fitness edge on some of these returning rivals. El Astronaute and Paul Midgley’s Tarboosh and Captain Colby are the obvious dangers.

111 2. LOVE DREAMS Mark Johnston P. J. McDonald
110 3. SAINT EQUIANO Keith Dalgleish Graham Lee
109 1. THREE SAINTS BAY David O’Meara David Nolan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Love Dreams has an in-and-out profile, which is a slight worry, but he’s too well weighted to ignore and an excellent second on the AW last month ensures he has a race-fitness edge on the majority of these. Raselasad and Porth Swtan are unexposed types who should have more to offer, while Hayadh is capable of going well fresh.

96 6. MAULESDEN MAY Keith Dalgleish Joe Fanning
94 7. FOUR KINGDOMS R. Mike Smith Andrew Breslin (5)
93 8. CHAMPARISI Grant Tuer Sam James

Analyst’s Verdict:
Maulesden May, a winner here in August, ran well when runner-up back at this venue in October and she is fancied to go well on return from what rates a workable mark. Champarisi and Cry Wolf arrive in good form on allweather and can also feature.

91 7. CITY TOUR Mark Johnston Joe Fanning
89 4. LIGHTNING ATTACK Richard Fahey Tony Hamilton
86 12. POPPING CORKS Linda Perratt Paula Muir (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
City Tour is far from ideally drawn in stall 12 but arrives on a workable mark judged on the pick of his form as a juvenile and he could be worth chancing now starting out in handicaps. Silver Dust is also worth a second look now handicapping on return, whilst Iron Mike and Lightning Attack are also of interest.

85 3. LORD OF THE GLEN Jim Goldie Phil Dennis
83 6. JESSIE ALLAN Jim Goldie Corey Madden (7)
83 9. FOXY BOY Rebecca Bastiman Rachel Richardson

Analyst’s Verdict:
Our Place In Loule is worth chancing to pick up where he left off in 2018 with another C&D victory. Lord of The Glen is very well handicapped if reviving back on turf now, while they won’t want to give Vallarta an easy lead on a rare go over 5f.
