No turf action today on the flat with just a couple of all weather meetings at Newcastle & Lingfield.

Just casting a quick eye through those, Simon Dow’s Roundabout Magic is one we have backed in the past going in the (19.10) on seasonal return to action at Lingfield.

He’s a multiple winner here and close to a previous winning mark but upped two grades tonight, it would see it a big ask to get near on first run with Oisin Murphy well drawn on James Fanshawe’s Harry’s Bar.

However, ‘oop north’ we had a nice winner last time when taking on the the AW at Newcastle. In the (18.50), Roger Fell pops two in with one being from our trackers in Elixisoft. He’s on at wipes yer face 5’s taking on 10f for the first.

Four runs back on the turf he only just failed here in overhauling the shock 25/1 winner, Ventura Gold at Leicester and has mixed it up alternating turf and AW since. Those turf appearances have come on the g/f that clearly doesn’t suit but continues to be knocking on the door on this surface. It’s just a 7 runner and one we’ll sit out and take note of, with the stable also running the likely favourite, Tamreer.

However, we have one at a price in the following race and we’re going to make play tonight
