2.00 IML Marine Management Novices’ Hurdle (4) 2m3f123y

Timeform Top Rated
136p 1. POTTERMAN Alan King James Bowen (3)
135 2. SONIC Donald McCain Brian Hughes

Analyst’s Verdict:
Potterman has scope to do better still in this sphere, and he’s taken to prove too strong for Sonic.

2.30 Bangor Bet Maiden Hurdle (4) 2m145y

Timeform Top Rated
127p 3. FAIR MOUNTAIN Dan Skelton Harry Skelton
126p 11. SECRET ESCAPE Donald McCain Brian Hughes
114 12. KATEBIRD Oliver Greenall Will Kennedy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Fair Mountain and Secret Escape both met with defeat when sent off odds-on for their respective debuts in this sphere but they are bound to do better. Marginal preference is for the former as he may possess the better turn of foot given his Flat background. Delirant is one to monitor closely in the betting.

3.00 Our Ethel Cummins 90th Birthday Celebratory Novices’ Handicap Chase (4) 2½m72y

Timeform Top Rated
119p 6. ZOLFO Jennie Candlish Sean Quinlan
117 4. SEA’S ARIA Mark Hoad Marc Goldstein
115 8. SHININSTAR John Groucott Miss Lorna Brooke (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Zolfo put up an impressive performance to defy a 10-month absence when winning over C&D last month, and he looks one to follow this summer. Hidden Cargo was going well prior to unseating his rider on his chasing debut at Kempton, and he’s worth another chance, as is Cheltenam de Vaige, who perhaps needed the run on his recent return.

3.30 Tracy Williams 50th Birthday Celebration Handicap Hurdle (4) 2m3f123y

Timeform Top Rated
126 7. VOODOO DOLL Evan Williams Adam Wedge
125 4. COUGAR KID John O’Shea Miss Brodie Hampson (5)
124 3. PRINCE KHURRAM Donald McCain Brian Hughes

Analyst’s Verdict:
Djarkevi showed progressive form in his qualifying runs over hurdles and this point winner may yet have more to offer now handicapping over this sort of trip. Zenafire landed a gamble at this track a year ago and he’s fit from a recent Flat run, while Prince Khurram is back on his last successful mark.

4.00 Residential Estates Chester Handicap Chase (4) 3m30y

Timeform Top Rated
122 6. IRISH OCTAVE Rosemary Gasson Ben Poste
121 10. LITTLE JIMMY Tom Gretton Robert Dunne
120 8. APACHE PILOT Maurice Barnes Dale Irving (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Irish Octave is a chaser on the upgrade, adding another win to his tally at Warwick 2 weeks ago, and remains one to be positive about. Apache Pilot was a good winner at Hexham last month and is next best ahead of Little Jimmy, who can place again.

4.30 Racing UK Club Day Handicap Hurdle (4) 2m7f32y

Timeform Top Rated
122 1. FROZEN FLAME Jonjo O’Neill Richie McLernon
121§ 11. AMERICAN LIFE Oliver Greenall Will Kennedy
119 10. JIMMY BELL John O’Shea Sam Twiston-Davies

Analyst’s Verdict:
A fairly useful bumper winner, Court Affairs ran his best race to date over hurdles when midfield at Newton Abbot in April, noted doing his best work at the finish. This even longer trip promises to suit on that evidence and he could well represent a spot of value with the prospect of better to come. Hello Fellas and Frozen Flame are also low-mileage sorts on the up and can also feature.

WOWSER!!!!!

The guys from Cleeve have really hit the ground running in May with OVER 67PTS PROFIT as we take a step forward and one back !!!!

Like we said previous…….they target higher end c2+ than ourselves and have got off to a cracking start to the season. Have a look around their site linked below with a past results visible.

Our selections shouldn’t clash due to the nature of races we tend to get involved with and should be a nice complimentary and personal service from Nick & the guys to run alongside our own this summer.
