12.30 St. James’s Place Juvenile Hurdle (4) 2m69y

Timeform Top Rated
142P 2. STYLE DE VOLE Nicky Henderson Barry Geraghty
138 1. OUR POWER Alan King Wayne Hutchinson
129 4. ISAAC WONDER Michael Scudamore Brendan Powell

Analyst’s Verdict:
Style de Vole overcame obvious greenness when landing the odds on hurdles bow at Newcastle a fortnight ago, and with significant improvement forthcoming, he should take some stopping. Our Power also tasted success last time and is the obvious threat.

1.05 Equine Productions Maiden Hurdle (4) 2m69y

Timeform Top Rated
136p 2. BEAUFORT WEST Colin Tizzard Robbie Power
135 7. DASHEL DRASHER Jeremy Scott Matt Griffiths
134p 13. NORDIC COMBINED David Pipe Tom Scudamore

Analyst’s Verdict:
A big field and a fair bit of depth. Pistol Whipped makes plenty of appeal having shown promise in points and joined a yard that often introduces its better types at this venue. Beaufort West and Nordic Combined should be winning races soon enough, while Rathhill and Gameface are a couple of others to note starting out for leading connections.

1.40 Prodec Networks Chase (Novices’ Limited Handicap) (3) 2m7f86y

Timeform Top Rated
150p 7. MISTER MALARKY Colin Tizzard Robbie Power
148 11. ABSOLUTE POWER Rebecca Curtis Jeremiah McGrath
147 4. CHOSEN PATH Alan King Wayne Hutchinson

Analyst’s Verdict:
Mister Malarky made a successful debut over fences after 7 months off despite appearing to find the test barely enough and can follow up with the extra distance sure to suit. Chosen Path wasn’t far behind the selection that day and should also be suited by the longer trip, while Absolute Power arrives on the back of a good third at Ffos Las.

2.15 Thoroughbred Breeders Association Mares’ Chase (Listed) (1) 2m7f86y

Timeform Top Rated
166+ 3. DRINKS INTERVAL Colin Tizzard Richard Johnson
161p 4. MOLLY THE DOLLY Dan Skelton Harry Skelton
160p 2. PEARL ROYALE Nigel Hawke Danny Cook

Analyst’s Verdict:
Drinks Interval looked in control prior to falling 3 out at Market Rasen last month and she’s taken to gain compensation if none the worse. Molly The Dolly and Magic of Light are feared most.

2.45 Qolcom EBF Stallions ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle (Qualifier) (4) 2½m118y

Timeform Top Rated
145p 2. EMITOM Warren Greatrex Gavin Sheehan
144p 4. SAMARQUAND Harry Fry Noel Fehily
143p 12. HARAMBE Alan King Tom Bellamy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Novice hurdles don’t come much better than this. Downtown Getaway takes on 5 previous winners alongside several other promising types, but he looked a bit special when spreadeagling the field in an Irish bumper a year ago and is selected to make a winning start for Nicky Henderson. Emitom, Tidal Flow and Harambe are just 3 potential dangers.

3.15 Powersolve Electronics Greatwood Charity Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase (4) 2m92y

Timeform Top Rated
130 6. VICENZO MIO Chris Gordon Harry Reed
129p 2. SIR EGBERT Tom Lacey Stan Sheppard (3)
128? 4. VOCALISER Robin Dickin Lorcan Murtagh

Analyst’s Verdict:
Sir Egbert made an encouraging start to his chase career at Ffos Las last month and is expected to take a bit of stopping in a race where the majority of his rivals have a bit to prove at present. New Millennium isn’t entirely straightforward but has largely done well since switched to fences and may provide the main threat ahead of Royal Act, who will be suited by the drop to 2m.

3.45 St. James’s Place Fillies’ “Junior” Standard Open National Hunt Flat (5) 1½m143y

Timeform Top Rated
91 10. PARISIAN AFFAIR Neil King Bryony Frost
90 12. TOPS NO William Muir Brendan Powell

Analyst’s Verdict:
Alan King’s Eyes Right was evidently expected to make a much bigger impact on debut given the strength behind her in the market and it wouldn’t be any surprise to see her leave that run well behind now. Global Harmony, Sparky Valentine and Avorisk Et Perils are newcomers who make paper appeal in a race where the betting will provide more clues.
