A cracking winner from one of our two selections as JACOB’S PILLOW won at Beverley yesterday – and that also went pretty much according top script with Jason Hart making all from our other noted in that race, Elysian Flyer……not that we’re forecast bettors but we had one reported member pulling that stunt and netting a cool 105/1 pick up 🙂

That also ensured that it has been 4 months of continual profit building and for those on the £1k to £10k challenge….our bank has NOW grown by over 135% with an ROI of over 36%….current stakes are now £29.51 EW

Wednesday brings more Goodwood with Leicester, Redcar and Sandown as the back up cards…….anyone missing the ‘Glorious Goodwood’ Festival preview magazine, you can still download HERE and we also have Timeform for today’s card below.

The only race of note for us at the festival is the last (17.55) C3 where our sole tracker’s are, Sir Titan and Manton Grange. The former is clearly in rude health winning twice over C&D this term and upped just a 1ib when narrowly denied in a hatrick bid at HQ LTO in a C2. Hayley Turner is again back in the plate and there’s no reason why she shouldn’t be knocking on the door in a 4 or 5 paying place race dependent on your preference. The latter is a very lightly raced 5yo – he wasn’t all that far back and as a hold up type was doing his best work at the finish at Donny on seasonal debut. His best form has come with a bit of cut and also goes well on the AW – George Baker opts for this race over Friday’s mile handicap and is runners are running to the mark so shouldn’t be far away – as ever there’s a couple of 3yo’s who could be progressive but these are both on around 12’s this morning if you fancy a nibble here?

There’s nothing of note at Leicester and at Sandown we will be keeping an eye on Sukhovey in the opening apprentices (17.45)

We have just one for members below from the Redcar meet at double digit odds.

Today’s Selections

Redcar 15.55

ANDOK is a course winner who lost his maiden in debut here 2 years back beating the now one rated 101, Kings Gift  – obviously the progression didn’t come but once rated  87 and running in a HQ C2, this one finds itself in a C5 for the first time. If he replicated his Chester run of that C4 in June he shouldn’t be far away.

His odds of  14’s look tempting in a an 11 runner – he has to overcome a wide draw but can come from off the pace and a decent shout for owner Niall O’Keeffe.

We’ve just taken the best 14’s with Betfair albeit there is 16’s with Paddy but no longer an account.

1.50 Matchbook Betting Podcast Handicap (2) 2½m134y

Timeform Top Rated
106 12. LIL ROCKERFELLER Neil King Silvestre De Sousa
105 10. IMPHAL Marcus Tregoning Hayley Turner
105 2. COEUR DE LION Alan King Martin Harley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Lil Rockerfeller is better known as a very smart staying hurdler, and though this is his first Flat run for over 3 years, the extreme test this will provide is his best chance of exploiting what appears to be a very handy mark. Coeur de Lion is unlucky not to have won on the level this year and he is the chief threat, though Ryan Moore could be the man to get the best out of Kloud Gate.

2.25 Move Over To Matchbook Handicap (2) 1m3f218y

Timeform Top Rated
119 4. CORGI Hughie Morrison Jim Crowley
117p 5. DESERT WIND Ed Vaughan Non Runner
115 3. LYNWOOD GOLD Mark Johnston Joe Fanning

Analyst’s Verdict:
This looks a strong race with the narrow vote in favour of Infrastructure. Martyn Meade’s charge progressed as expected in line with the longer trip when scoring at Salisbury and its highly likely there is more to come on that evidence. Miss Latin and Polish head up an exhaustive shortlist.

3.00 Markel Insurance Molecomb Stakes (Group 3) (1) 5f

Timeform Top Rated
118p 4. SOLDIER’S CALL Archie Watson Daniel Tudhope
116p 3. RUMBLE INTHEJUNGLE Richard Spencer Tom Queally
115 6. VINTAGE BRUT Tim Easterby David Allan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Rumble Inthejungle built on his debut promise when fourth in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, and with the prospect of more to come (has plenty about him physically), he can come out on top for a yard that continues to impress with its 2-y-os. Windsor Castle victor Soldier’s Call is highly respected, while Well Done Fox’s confidence will be high following a listed victory at Sandown.

3.35 Qatar Sussex Stakes (Group 1) (1) 1m

Timeform Top Rated
132p 8. WITHOUT PAROLE John Gosden Andrea Atzeni
131 5. EXPERT EYE Sir Michael Stoute James Doyle
130 2. LIGHTNING SPEAR David Simcock Oisin Murphy

Analyst’s Verdict:
The 3-y-os look the stronger on form, and it’s Without Parole who’s taken to come out on top. He extended his unbeaten record to 4 in the St James’s Palace at Royal Ascot, more superior to his rivals than the winning margin suggests, and is fancied to record a second Group 1 win in succession. Expert Eye rates a big threat, especially if getting a strong pace to aim at.

4.10 Victoria Racing Club Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (2) 6f

Timeform Top Rated
95p 16. WELCOMING Clive Cox Adam Kirby
94p 17. YOURTIMEISNOW Roger Varian Andrea Atzeni
88p 4. DESERT LANTERN Mark Johnston William Buick

Analyst’s Verdict:
Plenty to consider but there was lots to like about Yourtimeisnow’s debut run at Newmarket and she’s narrowly preferred. Desert Lantern came well clear of the rest when runner-up at Ripon and is next best ahead of Quarry Beach, who very much caught the eye on debut at Kempton.

4.45 EBF Breeders’ Series Fillies’ Handicap (2) 1m1f197y

Timeform Top Rated
110 4. MAGNOLIA SPRINGS Eve Johnson Houghton Charles Bishop
109 3. TWENTY TIMES Richard Hughes Shane Kelly
109 5. GLENYS THE MENACE John Best Josephine Gordon

Analyst’s Verdict:
A good winner of a listed C&D contest on her penultimate start, Magnolia Springs is probably best not judged too harshly on her latest Newcastle effort, the falsely-run nature of the race not playing to her strengths. She is fancied to get back on the up, with Four White Socks and Savaanah, seeking the 4-timer, others to consider.

5.55 Goodwood Racehorse Owners Group Handicap (3) 7f

Timeform Top Rated
108p 12. ALJADY Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
107 1. MEDAHIM Richard Hannon Ryan Moore
106 11. MEDIEVAL Paul Cole Silvestre De Sousa

Analyst’s Verdict:
Manton Grange wasn’t seen again in 2017 after a decisive victory at Kempton in August, but shaped well on his Doncaster reappearance and is low mileage for a 5-y-o. He gets the vote in an open-looking finale. Aljady is yet to taste defeat and threatens to be even better over this trip. He looks a major danger, whilst Vale of Kent, Medieval and Sir Titan are also of interest.
