With no selections yesterday it’s again more pretty naff action from Ayr and Yarmouth today in terms of races we target 🙁 but that’s with no detriment to the C1 Listed £28k Rothesay Stakes (16.35). We also mentioned yesterday, Saturday winner Tanosoq is back out quickly and up against recent Chester 2nd, Powerallied – neither will offer us any value heading the market in a 5 runner (16.35).

We’ve just one today at Ayr for members and notes are below….anyone looking elsewhere today, there’s the speedmeisters views from Yarmouth below…..any FREE SERVICE MEMBERS looking to receive today’s selection……..just follow the UPGRADE link

2.20 British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (3) 6f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
No ratings for this race

Analyst’s Verdict:
A promising-looking bunch of newcomers, with 900,000 gns buy Legends of War perhaps the pick of them. San Donato wasn’t cheap either at 500,000 gns as a yearling, with Leading Spirit another very likely type in a race where the market may reveal plenty.

2.55 Vauxhall Holiday Park of Great Yarmouth Median Auction Maiden Stakes (5) 6f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
72 7. AD VALOREM QUEEN William Knight Andrea Atzeni
69+ 10. LALANIA Stuart Williams Silvestre De Sousa
61p 3. BURFORD BROWN Hugo Palmer Josephine Gordon

Analyst’s Verdict:
Burford Brown showed speed and ability when mid-field in a good Newmarket maiden last year and, with a chunk of improvement anticipated, he looks a likely sort to get off the mark provided he’s fit enough to do himself justice. Ad Valorem Queen remains with potential based on her encouraging debut and Dosc is an interesting newcomer.

3.25 Racing Welfare Handicap (5) 1m3f104y

Timeform Top Rated:
88 4. SCOONES James Fanshawe Daniel Muscutt
87+ 1. SEAN O’CASEY Michael Appleby Silvestre De Sousa
86 3. WIDNES Alan Bailey Darragh Keenan (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
A drop in the weights enables Sean O’Casey to take in this grade of handicap for the first time, and with De Sousa in the saddle, a bold bid can be expected. Scoones and Go On Gal are feared most unless there’s money about for Free Forum on his return to action.

3.55 Seadell Chalets of Hemsby Handicap (6) 1¾m17y

Timeform Top Rated:
77+ 6. BAILARICO Warren Greatrex Edward Greatrex
76 1. STRICTLY ART Alan Bailey Tim Clark (3)
76 12. WHAT A PARTY Gay Kelleway Aaron Jones (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
No reason to oppose Bailarico in his bid to follow up his impressive winning debut for Warren Greatrex under a 6 lb penalty, the bulk of the opposition either out of form or poorly handicapped. Kerre looks an interesting alternative for an in-form stable and Shan Dun Na Ngall is too well treated to completely dismiss.

4.25 ROA / Racing Post Owners Jackpot Handicap (4) 7f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
99p 3. NOBLE STAR James Fanshawe George Wood (3)
98 5. CALL OUT LOUD Michael Appleby Alistair Rawlinson
96 1. SAYESSE Mick Channon Andrea Atzeni

Analyst’s Verdict:
The fact that Kaeso could land a four-timer in handicaps last year underlines just how progressive he was and following a positive reappearance (met trouble) when fifth at Ascot, it’s worth taking the chance that he can resume his improvement and get back to winning ways. The in-form Call Out Loud and unexposed Noble Star are the clear dangers.

4.55 Great Yarmouth & Caister Golf Club Handicap (5) 1m3y

Timeform Top Rated:
88 3. SEYASAH Chris Wall Tom Queally
87 4. LUNAR DEITY Stuart Williams Callum Rodriguez (3)
86 1. ENIGMATIC Alan Bailey Joshua Bryan (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Seyasah was a ready winner over 7f at this venue on reappearance 3 weeks ago, and representing an in-form yard, her follow-up claims appear to be bright. Lunar Deity is well weighted back on grass and is feared most, with Screaming Gemini another to consider.

5.25 Fat Larry’s Burgers At Yarmouth Racecourse Handicap (6) 7f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
84 4. SLOW TO HAND William Jarvis Jamie Spencer
77 9. CAMARADORIE Lydia Pearce Jack Mitchell
76 2. LIMERICK LORD Julia Feilden Shelley Birkett (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Slow To Hand was well clear of the others when beaten only by a very well-treated sort at this course (1m) last week so, provided he’s come out of that race fine he should take all the beating from the same mark. The selection was undone by a Chris Wall trained horse on that occasion and Deciding Vote, from that same yard, could provide the biggest danger here ahead of Limerick Lord.

Check these guys out if you haven't already heard of them!

We think you should check out the service from the guys from Cleeve – they target higher end c2+ than ourselves and have got off to a good start this season. Have a look around their site linked below with a past results visible. Our selections shouldn’t clash due to the nature of races we tend to get involved with and should be a nice complimentary and personal service from Nick & the guys to run alongside our own this summer.
