A sole meeting at HQ represents the sole turf programme today – nothing from us for members, though from a northern perspective, we like the look of Richard Fahey’s Crotchet in (16.20) AR Legal Fillies’ Handicap. She was unlucky in running in an all age race at Ripon before notching at Musselburgh at first crack at a mile. She’s on around wipes yer face prices and today get’s the assist of Ryan Moore. There’s Timeform for the meeting below…….

The bank is now just over £3950 for those on the £1k to £10k challenge….and grown by over 300% with an ROI of over 28%….current stakes are now £49.78 EW

Anyone wishing to contact us direct, please use the email address alwaysbackwinners2018@gmail.com ……..any FREE SERVICE MEMBERS looking to receive the latest premium service selections and join the £1k to £10k quest.……just follow the UPGRADE link.

On a separate note – we often get asked about our affiliation with the book Always Back Winners by Stewart Simpson – just to clear things up…..we have no association with him, but found it a cracking read in the late 70’s that inspired the introduction to the sport and hence the site name. His exploits were conducted with paddock inspections whilst present at the meeting he was backing in, with no such access to on-line accounts in those days. Much of the rationale concerning ‘top weights on turning tracks’ can still be applied today with supporting information ready to hand from the likes of geegeez, ATR etc which, in theory, makes it whole lot ‘easier’ for the regular punter.

Anyone looking for a winter read during close season whilst we take on the NH…….for which he had no love at all 🙂 ….you can try and grab a copy from the likes of Amazon below….

1.30 Shepherd Compello & EPG Fillies’ Novice Median Auction Stakes (5) (D.I) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
91p 8. RAINBOW HEART William Haggas Ryan Moore
89p 7. PYTILIA Richard Hughes Shane Kelly
77p 2. FILLES DE FLEUR George Scott George Wood

Analyst’s Verdict:
Rainbow Heart‘s debut third in a C&D maiden 25 days ago looks the best form on offer, and she will surely step up on that at the first time of asking. Pytilia appeared not to improve from her first run to her second, but she remains with potential, while Filles de Fleur will come on for her recent Kempton introduction.

2.00 Shepherd Compello & EPG Fillies’ Novice Median Auction Stakes (5) (D.II) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
92p 10. TRONADA Alan King Martin Harley
88 9. STAY FOREVER Andrew Balding Oisin Murphy
83 6. PETITS FOURS Archie Watson Hollie Doyle

Analyst’s Verdict:
Tronada wasn’t knocked about when third at Lingfield and may well step up sufficiently to win a race of this nature. Stay Forever looks her main rival on form, though Petits Fours went the right way from her debut and can surely progress further.

2.35 Willow Novice Stakes (4) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
94+ 1. BALLYLEMON Richard Hughes Shane Kelly
91p 9. LIGHT AND DARK Saeed bin Suroor Jason Watson
88 11. OUZO Richard Hannon Ryan Moore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Light And Dark is a good-looking colt with a useful pedigree, and following a promising start at this venue over 1m 18 days ago, is taken to make a leap forward with this drop back in trip probably a wise move at this stage of his career. Ifton shaped really well at Newbury, while Gantier makes a lot of appeal on debut despite the fact he’s already been gelded.

3.10 Aptus Investment Fund Maiden Stakes (3) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
90p 10. THE OLYMPIAN Alan King Martin Harley
89p 3. ARTISTIC LANGUAGE Brian Meehan Ryan Moore
88p 7. MIND THE CRACK Mark Johnston Franny Norton

Analyst’s Verdict:
Travel On was still in need of the experience at Leicester last week, but he caught the eye by the finish and a big run looks on the cards up in trip with Dettori now in the hot-seat. Artistic Language, The Olympian and Brasca should have more to offer and are also considered.

3.45 British Stallion Studs EBF Nursery Handicap (Sire/Dam Restricted) (2) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
104 3. PREFONTAINE Roger Varian Andrea Atzeni
103p 6. SKYMAX Ralph Beckett Harry Bentley
102p 1. NAYEF ROAD Mark Johnston Ryan Moore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Prefontaine benefited from the step up to this sort of trip when scoring at Nottingham a fortnight ago and may have more in the locker after just 4 career starts. He is taken to follow up. The Ralph Beckett trained pair, Fearless Warrior and Skymax, rate the principal dangers.

4.20 AR Legal Fillies’ Handicap (2) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
106p 2. ORTIZ Henry Candy Andrea Atzeni
104 3. CROTCHET Richard Fahey Ryan Moore
103 4. FLORENZA Chris Fairhurst Jamie Spencer

Analyst’s Verdict:
Crotchet makes most appeal after scoring readily on her first try at this trip at Musselburgh last month. She’s having a fine season and seems sure to give another good account. Ortiz is worth another chance to get back on the up given her earlier promise, while Jousi should remain competitive from an unchanged mark.

4.55 British EBF Novice Stakes (Sire/Dam Restricted) (3) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
92p 4. JAMES PARK WOODS Ralph Beckett Harry Bentley
91 7. SUMMER MOON Mark Johnston Franny Norton
88p 3. GINISTRELLI Ed Walker Gerald Mosse

Analyst’s Verdict:
Plenty of potential improvers here including Ginistrelli, who is bred in the purple and offered plenty to work on when fourth at Salisbury earlier this month. He gets the vote. James Park Woods is feared most, while Alignak looks the pick of the newcomers.

5.30 Newmarket Equine Security Nursery Handicap (5) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
88 1. AL FAJIR MUKBILE Ismail Mohammed Gerald Mosse
87 3. EXTREME FORCE Sir Michael Stoute Ryan Moore
85 10. BEAUTY CONCEPT Richard Hannon Rossa Ryan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Al Fajir Mukbile was beaten only by one who was much improved at Redcar last month and is taken to go one better. Extreme Force is next best ahead of Tribal Commander and Ragstone Cowboy.
