A welcome winner with KALLINSKI last night at Nottingham…..it took a bit of finding….perhaps because it was our 13th winner 🙂 he clearly likes the course and had threatened for us earlier this season.

Looking through today’s cards, Sandown (19.25), Frank Bridge has been knocking at the door for us and goes at lumping prices……..he hit the ‘crossbar’ at Ripon last month when only just missing out and also was a winner for us over a mile here last summer. He obviously doesn’t like big fields with all his wins coming in less than a double handful of runners and in a 5 runner no EW value and on at around 5/2 for those wanting a win only bet. Christmas Night also goes in the Leicester (20.40) and one we have dabbled at for a couple of places but disappointed at Chester LTO when moved up to C4…again its just a two paying place race and he’s on at around 6’s.

At Catterick  (16.10), Merry Banter was one we backed earlier this term and this is just a 7 runner – consistent to a tee he should be around the frame at best 4’s whilst in the (17.45), we backed Wotabreeze a couple of races back….he’s a straight forward ride and has done well with apprentices and amateurs up top and should give Harry Burns a real go at this – another at just around 4’s and a tad low for us to get involved, though at least three paying slots…..Timeform is for the same Catterick meeting below.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge, it’s been 3 months of incremental profits…….our bank has grown by over 75% with an ROI of over 20%….current stakes are now £22.19 EW

2.10 Unlimited Free Race Replays At sportinglife.com EBF Novice Stakes (5) 5f212y

Timeform Top Rated:
87+ 1. KUWAIT STATION David O’Meara Phillip Makin
73 6. FIGHTING SPIRIT David O’Meara C. J. McGovern (5)
71 3. HAVANA OOH NA NA K. R. Burke Clifford Lee (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Kuwait Station was rather pitched in at the deep end after his successful Ripon debut and will find this company more to his liking. He can get back on the up. Havana Ooh Na Na and Tomahawk Ridge may give him most to think about.

2.40 32 Engineer Regiment Hobart’s Selling Stakes (6) 7f6y

Timeform Top Rated:
76 5. BANDOLA Michael Dods Andrew Mullen
75 7. SMASHING LASS Ollie Pears Shane Gray
69 1. GO ANNIE GO David Evans Gabriele Malune (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
This can go to Bandola, who ran respectably over a shorter trip in handicap company last time and will enjoy this easier grade. Smashing Lass and Go Annie Go are the obvious dangers.

3.10 Smith & Graham/Love Property Nursery Handicap (5) 7f6y

Timeform Top Rated:
86 2. JFOUL Saeed bin Suroor Kevin Stott
84 1. AUSSIE VIEW Mark Johnston P. J. McDonald
82 3. AMADEUS GREY Tim Easterby David Allan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Jfoul posted fairly useful form when opening his account at Chelmsford last time and looks on a decent mark for his first crack at handicapping. He is fancied to score again. Aussie View and Amadeus Grey are other key players.

3.40 Racing Welfare Claiming Stakes (6) 7f6y

Timeform Top Rated:
90 2. SULTAN BAYBARS David O’Meara C. J. McGovern (5)
83 3. KODY RIDGE Roger Fell Ben Sanderson (5)
79? 1. DANDY HIGHWAYMAN Ollie Pears Ben Robinson (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Sultan Baybars is not one to take a short price about given his latest effort, but is suited by the conditions of this contest and may be able to get back on the scoreboard. Kody Ridge and Dandy Highwayman are others to consider.

4.10 Sky Bet Go-Racing-In-Yorkshire Summer Festival Handicap (4) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
95 4. MERRY BANTER Paul Midgley Graham Lee
94 2. LONGROOM Noel Wilson Phil Dennis (3)
94 3. EXCESSABLE Tim Easterby Rachel Richardson

Analyst’s Verdict:
This looks competitive but the front-running Bosham has bagged the plum draw against the inside rail and is taken to notch his fourth victory of the year. Merry Banter and Dapper Man rate the principal dangers.

4.40 Never Miss A Race On Racing UK Handicap (6) (D.I) 5f212y

Timeform Top Rated:
77 6. CUPID’S ARROW Ruth Carr James Sullivan
76 3. WINDFORPOWER Tracy Waggott Ben Curtis
75 2. YOUNG TIGER Tom Tate Graham Lee

Analyst’s Verdict:
C&D winner Cupid’s Arrow has been cut plenty of slack by the handicapper and shaped well over a longer trip at Wolverhampton last time. He could be the answer to a tricky contest. Young Tiger and Cuppacoco also make appeal.

5.10 Never Miss A Race On Racing UK Handicap (6) (D.II) 5f212y

Timeform Top Rated:
77 5. DANISH DUKE Ruth Carr James Sullivan
76 8. DEBEN John Weymes Phil Dennis (3)
75 2. SEARANGER Rebecca Menzies P. J. McDonald

Analyst’s Verdict:
Guardia Svizzera has fallen to a mark of 60 having been rated much higher in Ireland last year. He usually leads (although was held up last time) and if those tactics are employed round here from a decent draw, he could be hard to peg back. Searanger is a C&D winner in good form and poses a significant threat. Mitchum is another C&D winner that should enjoy the return to this venue.

5.45 catterickbridge.co.uk Apprentice Training Series Handicap (6) 1½m13y

Timeform Top Rated:
78 6. KING OF THE CELTS Tim Easterby Robert Dodsworth (3)
77 4. ITLAAQ Michael Easterby Patrick Vaughan
77? 7. HAYWARD FIELD Noel Wilson Josh Quinn

Analyst’s Verdict:
King of The Celts may be a veteran now but he’s still running with credit, not being beaten far last time over C&D under an amateur. He’s mainly been partnered by amateurs and inexperienced apprentices since last summer and his rider today has a bit more experience which may help. Wotabreeze has done little wrong of late and is a threat. Fillydelphia is best of the rest.
