A disappointing outcome on our members selection Mywayistheonlyway at Beverley yesterday saw him finish just one outside the places after hitting trouble in running twice in the last furlong when delivering a late challenge – we’ll note where he goes next with another slight easing in weights expected.

No real consolation but elsewhere there was a nice winner for the free members as Global Excel won at 13/2 at Newbury last evening (20.45) and Sukhovey did run up a 12/1 2nd to the Johnston hot shot at Brighton (15.45) with the mentioned forecast paying a shade over £5.00.

On to today…….there’s meets at Bath, Carlisle and Salisbury with the speedmeister’s views on Naas below. There’s not a whole load to consider – a trappy C2 at Salisbury (15.40) that we tend not to get involved with, sees Mark Johnston head south with Aquarium – LTO missed the break under SDS at Haydock and was running on well late. Franny Norton has the ride today who is riding like a man possessed at the moment and not without a live EW shout at around 8’s.

Outside of that, we have just one for members below.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….our bank has grown by over 80% with an ROI of over 40%….current stakes are now £22.78 EW

6.00 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden 6f

Timeform Top Rated
91p 12. RITA LEVI G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane
90P 13. SECRET THOUGHTS Aidan O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien
86p 14. SMART FLIES J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning

Analyst’s Verdict:
Rita Levi chased home the Queen Mary runner-up on debut at Navan 3 weeks ago and is taken to open her account from the equally-promising Secret Thoughts and Smart Flies.

6.30 BBQ & Music Evenings Handicap 6f

Timeform Top Rated
77+ 10. LANDLINE Thomas Cleary William James Lee
75 5. A LIKELY STORY T. G. McCourt C. T. Keane
74 8. TIME STANDS STILL W. J. Martin Seamie Heffernan

Analyst’s Verdict:
The vote in this low grade handicap goes to Landline, who shaped as though he’s returning to the boil here recently and going back up to 6f looks a good move. A Likely Story may emerge as the main danger, though Rising Eagle, Ahundrednotout and La Novia are all eachway players.

7.00 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Naas Oaks Trial (Listed) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated
118 9. SIZZLING Aidan O’Brien Seamie Heffernan
117 1. MARY TUDOR W. McCreery William James Lee
115p 4. ESPERE G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane

Analyst’s Verdict:
Espere was impressive in the manner she dismissed more experienced rivals to make it 2-2 at Gowran 4 weeks ago, showing a striking turn of foot coming off a modest gallop. Well worth a try at this higher level, she is fancied to make a bold bid to complete the hat-trick. Mary Tudor with her sights lowered and Romiyna rate next best in an intriguing affair.

7.30 Hermitage Green Live After Racing Handicap 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated
85 1. RINGSIDE HUMOUR J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning
84 10. EMILY SQUARE Thomas Mullins C. D. Hayes
84 9. BO BRIDGET Adrian Murray S. P. Davis (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Ringside Humour has gone a while without a win but she ought to have a race in her at this level and is preferred to Johnny Murtagh’s recent Roscommon runner-up Machiavelli. The hat-trick seeking Sheila’s Hope is also a must for the shortlist.

8.00 Gannon Office Solutions Supporting Kildare Chamber Maiden 7f

Timeform Top Rated
87p 2. MAYAADEEN D. K. Weld L. F. Roche
86 5. TAKE A NAP J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning
86 7. FREIHEIT W. McCreery William James Lee

Analyst’s Verdict:
The fact Mayaadeen has gone off a short price on both starts suggests he’s well regarded and there’ll be no excuse for him here. Take A Nap and Freiheit can battle it out for minor honours.

8.30 Denis Byrne Memorial Apprentice Handicap 1m

Timeform Top Rated
92 5. INSIGNIA OF RANK Joseph G. Murphy K. J. Leonard
90 4. DANCE EMPEROR Mrs J. Harrington T. P. Madden
90 6. MASALAI Edward Lynam Oisin James Orr

Analyst’s Verdict:
Insignia of Rank produced his best effort to date when runner-up in a compettive handicap at Leopardstown 13 days ago, and he looks more than capable of defying this sort of mark. Geological retains handicapping scope and is feared most ahead of Dance Emperor.

9.00 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden 1m

Timeform Top Rated
94 4. NEW TO TOWN J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning
83p 5. SHELANNGA D. K. Weld Declan McDonogh
79p 7. VIVIANITE M. Halford C. O’Donoghue

Analyst’s Verdict:
Shelannga took the first of what are likely to be numerous steps forward after 10 months off when runnerup at Cork recently, and she’s taken to improve past standard-setter New To Town. Fire Opal is in excellent hands and could progress plenty from her debut.
