Hereford and Wetherby to consider today with Timeform below for the former. There’s not a whole load of interest there and Wetherby has more of note – Theflyingportrait looks solid for lumpers in the (14.20) chase but too short at around 5/2 for us to consider. He ran well enough at Aintree LTO and holds Oak Vintage on his penultimate run over C&D.  Again, it’s difficult t0 pin down anything of note out at odds north of 8’s……we’ll pass again and be back tomorrow before 8.00am 🙂

With no member selections yesterday it was left to the intro notes Tayzar our only consideration who ran 2nd at wipes yer face prices.

For those on the new £1k to £10k, current stakes are now £10.91 EW and the bank stands at £872.80

12.35 Sri Lanka Wonder of Asia Handicap Hurdle (4) 2m3f147y

Timeform Top Rated
116 3. DESTINED TO SHINE Kerry Lee Sam Twiston-Davies
115p 7. BETTER NEWS Neil Mulholland Philip Donovan (7)
114§ 5. AGINCOURT REEF Roger Teal Harry Teal (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Destined To Shine ran his best race to date when runner-up in a C&D contest recently, doing particularly well in coming from off the pace and making his effort out wide. He’s one to be interested in and can come out on top. The red-hot Kingston and Better News can also get involved.

1.05 Sri Lanka The Jewel of Asia Novices’ Hurdle (4) 2m3f147y

Timeform Top Rated
135p 1. DR SANDERSON Paul Nicholls Harry Cobden
133 3. HE’S A GOER Tom Lacey Richard Johnson
132p 2. ESPOIR DE GUYE Venetia Williams Charlie Deutsch

Analyst’s Verdict:
Dr Sanderson has made a bright start to his career and looks capable of defying a penalty with further improvement on the cards. Espoir de Guye struck at the second time of asking over hurdles in France and is clearly an intriguing runner for his new yard, while Star of Lanka showed he has a future in this sphere at Sandown.

1.35 Visit Sri Lanka Novices’ Handicap Chase (4) 2m8y
Timeform Top Rated
111 4. SHREWD TACTICS Evan Williams Adam Wedge
110 10. SCRUPULEUX Chris Down James Davies
109 1. OMEGA SPRINGS Dai Williams Sam Twiston-Davies

Analyst’s Verdict:
Wenceslaus has been in fine form over hurdles and could be up to the task on his chase debut. Shrewd Tactics is feared most ahead of another chasing debutant, Lord Fendale.

2.05 Sri Lanka Awaits You Maiden Hurdle (4) 3m1f119y

Timeform Top Rated
135 7. MASTER TRADESMAN Richard Mitford-Slade Micheal Nolan
121 2. BALACH MOR Michael Scudamore Ben Poste
104p 6. MASTER CARD Warren Greatrex Richard Johnson

Analyst’s Verdict:
Danny Whizzbang looks all stamina having won a 3m pointto-point in April and can stamp himself as a useful staying prospect for Paul Nicholls with victory on his hurdles debut. Financial Outcome has a similar profile and has to be respected, while Master Tradesman could go close back in a maiden.

2.35 Sri Lanka The Paradise Island Mares’ Handicap Hurdle (Qualifier) (3) 2m53y

Timeform Top Rated
133 3. SHAMBRA Lucy Wadham Maxime Tissier (5)
132 1. CUBSWIN Neil King Bryony Frost
131 4. SHE’S GINA Seamus Mullins Daniel Sansom (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Sula Island has taken well to hurdling this autumn and can improve again and make a successful switch to handicap company. Shambra has returned at the top her game and ought to go well again, while Everlanes is another handicap newcomer who should have more to offer.

3.05 Dreams of Sri Lanka Handicap Chase (4) 3m1f44y

Timeform Top Rated
120 5. THE BOSS’S DREAM Neil King Bryony Frost
119x 3. MOSS ON THE MILL Tom George Jonathan Burke
118 8. CORNER CREEK Michael Scudamore Ben Poste

Analyst’s Verdict:
The Boss’s Dream has fallen a long way in the weights and returns for a yard going great guns at present so could be the way to go. Dontminddboys and Corner Creek head up the opposition.

3.40 Magic of Sri Lanka Standard Open National Hunt Flat (5) 2m53y

Timeform Top Rated
107 2. AT ITS OWN EXPENSE Philip Hobbs Richard Johnson
106 1. LEAVING HOME Peter Bowen James Bowen
102 7. MIX OF CLOVER Alastair Ralph Mr Alex Edwards (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
A chance is taken on the Paul Nicholls newcomer Nineohtwooneoh, although the market will clearly reveal more. Paint The Dream and Those Tiger Feet are other debutants to note, while At Its Own Expense could build on his Wincanton third and is also much respected.
