Both meets gone to the weather 🙁

1.10 EBF British Stallion Studs ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle (Qualifier) (3) 2½m110y

Timeform Top Rated
141p 8. SOUTHERN SAM Oliver Sherwood Leighton Aspell
139 2. DIOMEDE DES MOTTES Dan Skelton Harry Skelton
134p 1. CLARENDON STREET Nicky Henderson Nico de Boinville

Analyst’s Verdict:
The bare form of Clarendon Street’s hurdles runs this winter don’t do him full justice, bumping into a smart one at Warwick prior to a ready success at Wetherby, so he could well be up to conceding weight all round. Southern Sam and Diomede des Mottes will ensure the selection won’t have it all his own way, though.

1.40 H.A.C. Pipeline Supplies Chase (Novices’ Limited Handicap) (3) 2¾m151y

Timeform Top Rated
148 4. KNOCKROBIN Donald McCain Brian Hughes
147p 2. CLOTH CAP Jonjo O’Neill Richie McLernon
145 1. LUCKOFTHEDRAW Nigel Twiston-Davies Sam Twiston-Davies

Analyst’s Verdict:
Cloth Cap will go on improving over fences and can get the hat-trick up. You suspect there is a bigger effort in Knockrobin and that could be forthcoming here after a wind operation.

2.10 Kirby Muxloe Claiming Hurdle (4) 1m7f113y

Timeform Top Rated
134 3. MISTER CHOW Gary Moore Joshua Moore
132 7. CLIFFSIDE PARK Olly Murphy Lewis Stones (7)
127 5. SHADOW’S BOY Bernard Llewellyn Rex Dingle (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
It’s slightly disconcerting to see Mister Chow pitched into this level on his first start since March, but if he can replicate the form he showed when winning at Newbury, he will take some stopping on these terms. Cliffside Park is the obvious one to benefit should Gary Moore’s charge fail to fire.

2.40 Golden Miller Handicap Hurdle (3) 2½m110y

Timeform Top Rated
137 4. JAISALMER Mark Bradstock Nico de Boinville
135 7. SLEEPY HAVEN Jennie Candlish Sean Quinlan
134 8. REGULATION Neil King Bryony Frost

Analyst’s Verdict:
Jaisalmer needs to dispel a lesser effort over fences, yet the handicapper has given him a real chance ahead of this return to hurdles and he could be worth backing in a wide-open contest. Deebaj arrives in good form and is feared, along with Sleepy Haven.

3.10 Running Hare Handicap Chase (3) 2½m45y

Timeform Top Rated
145 5. TERRY THE FISH Jonjo O’Neill Jonjo O’Neill Jr. (5)
143x 3. ROC D’APSIS Tom George James Best
142 4. HOLBROOK PARK Neil King Mr Jack Andrews (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Terry The Fish clearly benefited from first-time blinkers when a back-to-form second at Market Rasen 2 weeks ago, pulling clear with the winner, and has obvious claims off the same mark if reproducing that. Holbrook Park is feared most.

3.40 Six Hills Handicap Hurdle (4) (D.I) 1m7f113y

Timeform Top Rated
118 8. MICRAS Matt Sheppard Stan Sheppard (3)
117 7. JUSTICE KNIGHT Michael Scudamore Ben Poste
115 6. ROCOCO STYLE Steve Gollings Sam Twiston-Davies

Analyst’s Verdict:
Micras may have held on at Exeter 10 days ago had her effort been delayed for a bit longer and she clearly has a race in her off current mark. Star of Rory and Texan Nomad head the dangers.

4.10 Six Hills Handicap Hurdle (4) (D.II) 1m7f113y

Timeform Top Rated
114 3. BONNE QUESTION Venetia Williams Charlie Deutsch
113 6. CHOOCHOOBUGALOO Sam England Jonathan England
112 2. STONECOLDSOBA Denis Quinn Ciaran Gethings

Analyst’s Verdict:
Choochoobugaloo cashed in from her basement mark in no uncertain terms at Kelso earlier this month and, whilst the handicapper has reacted, the strong suspicion is she will make another bold bid. Dragon Khan, with a reappearance spin under his belt, and the returning Bonne Question are others fancied to feature.
