Another ‘crossbar hit’ as Mark Johnston’s Rebel Assault was no match for the easy winner, Parys Mountain under Jason Hart – however as yesterday, we’ll take that little bit of place money generated and move on. From the intro notes, 3yo maiden Bonanza Bowls ran well enough for a 14/1 place and Bryan Smart’s charge will be watched for next time out.

There’s Timeform for Nottingham below for Wednesday and a single members selection at a decent double digit price that we can halve the stakes on at this time of the season…….

The bank is now just over £4000 for those on the £1k to £10k challenge….and grown to JUST OVER 300% with an ROI of over 26%….current stakes at 1.25% are now £50.38 EW

12.40 EBF Stallions Golden Horn Maiden Stakes (4) (D.I) 1m75y

Timeform Top Rated
90p 4. DALAALAAT William Haggas James Doyle
88 2. BRAWNY Charles Hills David Probert
87p 1. ASIAN ANGEL Mark Johnston Franny Norton

Analyst’s Verdict:
Dalaalaat is by a top first-season sire and looks likely to leave his debut effort behind. King of Change and Technician are a couple of interesting newcomers.

1.10 EBF Stallions Golden Horn Maiden Stakes (4) (D.II) 1m75y

Timeform Top Rated
96p 9. MUBARIZ Roger Charlton Kieran Shoemark
88p 7. GARRISON COMMANDER Eve Johnson Houghton Charles Bishop
74 10. RED PHOENIX Mark Johnston Franny Norton

Analyst’s Verdict:
Mubariz sets a decent standard and should be hard to beat with further improvement forthcoming. Debutants Cadre du Noir and Funny Man make plenty of appeal on paper, so need keeping an eye on in the market.

1.40 racinguk.com Handicap (4) 1m75y

Timeform Top Rated
99 2. BOBBY K Simon Crisford James Doyle
98 3. DETACHMENT Les Eyre Jane Elliott (3)
97 5. BLAZE OF HEARTS Dean Ivory Robert Winston

Analyst’s Verdict:
Bobby K resumed winning ways in what looked a decent handicap at Chelmsford and could be capable of following up from 5 lb higher now switching to turf. The hat-trick seeking Detachment is an obvious threat.

2.10 British EBF Nursery Handicap (2) 5f8y

Timeform Top Rated
105 7. WINDY GUEST George Margarson Jane Elliott (3)
103 5. POSH PERFECT Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
102p 1. MOYASSAR Richard Hannon Tom Marquand

Analyst’s Verdict:
While conceding upwards of 11 lb to his 7 rivals will not be easy, Moyassar may well be equal to the task. Indeed, he took a step forward when a close third in a valuable 6f York nursery in August and dropping to the minimum trip here could be the catalyst for further improvement. Windy Guest has progressed on the AW since returning from a break and is next best ahead of Posh Perfect.

2.40 Get Daily Tips At racinguk.com Handicap (5) 5f8y

Timeform Top Rated
94 4. TAN Michael Appleby Alistair Rawlinson
93 10. MADAME BOUNTY Ed Walker Liam Keniry
92 12. YORKSHIREDEBUT Paul Midgley Kieran Shoemark

Analyst’s Verdict:
Tan wasn’t disgraced in a far stronger handicap than this at Catterick recently, particularly given that he was 9 lb ‘wrong’ at the weights. Able to race off this correct mark in this less exalted company, Michael Appleby’s charge could be the answer. The in-form Dr Doro has to be feared with James Doyle in the hot-seat, while Madame Bounty and Pavers Pride also enter calculations.

3.10 Bet At racinguk.com Handicap (4) 1¾m

Timeform Top Rated
94 1. HANDIWORK Steve Gollings Kieran Shoemark
93 4. ALL MY LOVE Pam Sly Liam Keniry
92 9. ROSIE ROYALE Roger Teal George Wood

Analyst’s Verdict:
Preference is for Handiwork, who performed with credit on his second start following a break at Haydock 12 days ago and is 2 lb lower in the weights here. Lucky Deal failed to land a blow in a Class handicap at York last time, but he looks dangerous back down in grade. All My Love and Tarte Tropezienne are others with decent claims.

3.40 racinguk.com Novice Stakes (5) 1¾m

Timeform Top Rated
86p 5. JUST WAIT Mark Johnston Franny Norton
85 4. THE OTMOOR POET Alex Hales William Carson
81 8. VIA DELLE VOLTE Joseph Tuite Kevin Stott

Analyst’s Verdict:
It’s hard to look beyond Just Wait, who left her debut effort well behind when landing a minor event at Hamilton in September and is open to further improvement. Via Delle Volte and The Otmoor Poet can fill the places.

4.10 AJA Handicap (Gentleman Amateur Riders) (6) 1¼m50y

Timeform Top Rated
78+ 6. CHAMPAGNE RULES Sharon Watt Mr James King
77 7. WHATWOULDYOUKNOW Richard Guest Mr Frederick Tett
76 3. BROUGHTONS STORY Philip McBride Mr Ross Birkett

Analyst’s Verdict:
Champagne Rules peaked during the autumn last year and shaped as though close to concert pitch when hitting the crossbar at Wolverhampton 11 days ago. He is taken to resume winning ways off the same mark here. Whatwouldyouknow also found just one too good last time and is feared most, while Broughtons Story will be in with a shout if on-song and Cold Fusion is also on the shortlist.
