Wobwobwob wins….advised @ 8/1

We followed up yesterdays Ayr Bronze Cup win with the Silver Cup winner WOBWOBWOB.

Hollie Doyle had him a bit further back than expected  though looked a clever winner getting up a head.

Backed heavily on the day into 9/2 was a tad shorter than hoped. Will settle for the morning 8’s from the overnight 10’s.

For those on the  2022/23 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank stands at £1199.44 with current full stakes at £15.00 EW with over a 39% win/place rate.

Today’s Selections

Ayr 14.25

Pinning my flag to the mast and with drying conditions. Something from a mid to low (1-13) looks a decent call on this going again.

Winners have come from that so far this week 🙂 so favourite Gulliver looks very opposable on that, despite a win LTO on the AW and, on a good mark.

Last years first 4 came home in (10-13-5-4). There’s a decent amount of pace all across but I only really think the high numbers have it when the pace is strong that side or the conditions are deeper.

We were lucky enough throwing up the winner of last years Bronze Cup winner in Danzan 🙂 and that one back out again with every chance of going close again in the Silver event.

Nonetheless am opting for one we backed a few times last year for some placed efforts.

Looking at the shorter of our two selections, I haven’t quite got over the afore mentioned Easterby charge nabbing WOBWOBWOB at Thirsk last July. Danzan did it from the wrong side of the track that day, and in fact, that performance did dictate selection of that one in last years renewal.

Hey-ho all turned out well in the end 🙂

Adrian Keatley’s charge comes in to this one in fine form having gone close in the Great St Wilfrid’s at Ripon. Was drawn on the wrong side as it turned out but the form has been franked a good number of times with the NTO charges placing at over 50%.

Only drawback is his lack of 6f winning form but he’s much the pace angle along with the with the Easterby charge. Proven 7f types seem to go well over this 6f as we found out yesterday with Ascot Adventure 🙂

Hollie Doyle does the steering and there’s 8’s and enhanced SIX paying slots this morning.

Next up and hopefully our 2nd in this race last year, Woven,  doesn’t provide a ‘nad kicker 🙁

Got off the mark this season but still 29-1-14, that sole win tempers enthusiasm for win purposes. However, is one to be doing best off the back and wouldn’t dissuade any small shrapnel thrown at that one 🙂

Not a massive Richard Fahey fan, not on a personal level, but basically they are difficult to track 🙂

However his yard have been going well this week and MONSIEUR KODI has had a progressive season.

One of only a number of Class winners followed up that Stewards Consolation Cup win with another good effort at Ripon in the previously documented St Wilfrid’s.

Another decent effort on the AW looks to be holding form and previous winning pilot Oisin Orr gets back up top after those two runs under Cam Hardie & Connor Beasley.

Just about on my trap 13 limit – should be up with the affairs up the middle of the track.

There’s 16’s and enhanced SIX paying slots this morning for this one.
