A cracking win for us from Richard Fahey’s ZIP in the mud under Billy Garritty.

After missing his 6f race yesterday due to the weather took advantage today up at the 7f. Looked to hit the front a bit early but BG kept him up to it right to the line 🙂

2022/23 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge bank stands at £1291.16 with current full stakes at £16.14 EW with over a 38% win/place rate. 

2023 Turf bank stands at +37.9pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 38% win/place rate. 

2023/4 AW bank stands at -0.2 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 25% win/place rate.

Class 3 7f  later in the meeting that promises to cut up bad by then.

Wobwobwob backed for a win at Ayr , flopped on last run at York and maybe it for the season from him.

So, if racing goes ahead, will look to yesterday’s selection proven on this surface in Richard Fahey’s ZIP.

A proven mud lover who had a few decent run ins when we were backing Redrosezorro when that one was on top of his game for Eric Alston.

Does hold wins in C2 and drops a grade from yesterday’s engagement as well as back at optimum 7f trip. Tends to come to the fore at the end of the seasons being 9-2-5 in Octobers and a 50% place cord plus 8 wins on these flat galloping tracks.

He was a solid performer when we were backing Keith Dalgleish charges and now goes in at a near 15% win/40% place for Richard Fahey.

Billy Garritty, underrated imho, does the steering who last won for us on the yards Gabrial The Devil.

On at 9’s but regulation with THREE paying places this morning.
