Kenny The Captain managed to get among the paying slots yesterday but that hasn't recovered previous losses about him and we'll continue to track him whilst he is running well through to the end of the season and see if we can land something decent in return. There's a couple of decent looking handicaps at York today where some of our previous winners including Andoc & Give It Some Teddy are out with supporting Timeform below and we're going with a couple of suggestions for members below.Read more

Haydock's card cut up badly yesterday and left our previous selection Hart Stopper to pick up an easy win at 11/2 in a 6 runner....some of you were on him so well done to you guys , however wasn't something we felt could have been put up as the race stood at time of writing - he seems at ease in these races with just a handful of runners. Similar happened to our selection Grandee's race where it went from an 11 runner to a 6 runner and not suited to his cover up style.Read more

With nothing to report on yesterday there's cards at Salisbury, Carlisle and the start of Haydock's Betfred Sprint Cup meeting to consider. From yesterday's notes, Solar Gold was backed heavily and ended up at a lumping priced 9/4 to win under David Probert and at Ffos Las, (19.35)...Rock Warbler ran his usual turf race in 4th and we'll watch out for him on the AW in the coming couple of months.Read more

A poor set of races today and it's a leave alone day for us in terms of account bets. For those looking for some minor action....at Bath (14.30) Babyfact looks extremely well in against the likes of Red Alert and Jaganory on previous encounters - he's a course winner off 70 and turns up today off 64 and on first run at the track this season and around 4's on offer in a 7 runner. Another race there with under the 8 runners is the (16.35) where David Probert is the most experienced in this field and may just decide to make all on Solar GoldRead more

A similar day to yesterday with not a whole load of races we target......absolutely zilch at Goodwood and we have a sole selection for members at Leicester this evening. From yesterday's notes, Global Style ran well enough to suggest his time is near, we'll monitor that highly regarded maiden through the latte part of the season.Read more

Not a whole load of interest today...at Windsor, we know Global Style is expected to come on well during the latter part of the season. LTO ran 5th is our race where we had the nice win about Andoc last month. Nathaniel charges are typically late 3yo's and there's double digit about him going in first time blinkers this evening (19.30) for those looking for  a bit of small EW.Read more

A cracking day with a nice follow up to Mr Strutter doing the business on Friday with MUSHARRIF winning at Beverley…advised 15/2…backed to 7/1 and Michael Dods Intense Romance just caught in the final furlong in the 13.50 at Sandown…backed EW at 16/1. That’s pushed us to £40 or so shy of £3k on our £1k to £10k and a cracking start to our final couple of months of the flat. To keep up our personal 'feelgood' factor....the only race we commented on at Chester saw Bossipop come home in front of our recommendation Reputation for those who were looking at EW acca's. Read more

Despite missing out on MR STRUTTER in July we were well rewarded backing him for the second time this season as he does what he seems to do best saving his best for Thirsk and a nice 9/1 pick up to ensure we ended the month in profit to the tune of round £300 with a few crossbars hit in the last 10 days or so. That was his 3rd win from 4 runs at the course plus a 4th of 11 last time we backed him. He's clearly at home here and from one of our favourite smaller gambling stables of Ron Thompson who has given us big winners with the likes of Johnny Cavagin in recent timesRead more

Final day of a standstill month that promised a great deal at the start that we have been unable to build on - however that is to be expected at some stage and let's look to finish on a high and kick on through the final couple of months. Today there's Timeform from Sandown's card with meets at Thirsk and Hamilton to back that up. We've backed Christmas Night a few times for some place finishes and is back on favoured AW at Wolves in the 17.35 for those of you liking lumping types - however, there's some cracking handicaps at Thirsk and unusually we have THREE for members from there below todayRead more
