The only race of real interest being the 15.40 at Lingfield that has turned into a 6 runner with Colonel Frank one we backed LTO for a 12/1 place at Ripon.....he should go close and on offer at around 4's stepped up  slightly. No bets yesterday so straight on with today's meets - at the moment we tend to take a watching brief on 3yo's and one we noted last time out is Kevin Ryan's Dalawyna who goes in the 19.05 at Ripon. She's run well just off the leaders in her three stats this year and was a 25/1 2nd over the stiff Ponty finish LTO. Read more →

Not much 'value' about today for us in terms of our EW selections...Merry Banter would have been on the radar at Redcar 16.00 if we could have got anywhere near 5's - he looks to be one who should go close on the back of getting back round late 70's after spending last term rated up at 85. It's the Irish 2000 Guineas from the Curragh today with the speedmeisters views below on that meet - we're looking at the lesser meets to 'eek' out some value returns.......tongue in cheek that...Temple Stakes at Haydock.....Tapster at Goodwood and the Al Basti Bronte Cup at York are all C1 races on what promises to be a cracking BH weekend of racing.......we may even venture up to Cartmel on Monday if the weather holds :) Read more →

There's another meet to consider at Goodwood today with Haydock, Bath and a cracking '80's party night' at Ponty with no lesser than Belinda Carlisle toppling the bill - never mind Heaven....Ponty is certainly a 'place on earth' this evening!!!! Read more →

Another nice winner as REMEMBER THE DAYS does it for the members with an easy success at Ayr for Jedd O'Keeffe yesterday. We managed 11/2 in the morning but he was backed into 3/1 on the back of 3 late non-runners. There's more improvement to come from him but we'll have to see on prices for future outings. Read more →

With no selections yesterday it's again more pretty naff action from Ayr and Yarmouth today in terms of races we target :( but that's with no detriment to the C1 Listed £28k Rothesay Stakes (16.35). We also mentioned yesterday, Saturday winner Tanosoq is back out quickly and up against recent Chester 2nd, Powerallied - neither will offer us any value heading the market in a 5 runner (16.35). Anyone backing Kupa River managed a bit of place money with the 14/1 about him - like we said in our notes yesterday, they really think this one will pick up a decent sprint this season, though this race was at just shy of a mile.
