Final day of a standstill month that promised a great deal at the start that we have been unable to build on - however that is to be expected at some stage and let's look to finish on a high and kick on through the final couple of months. Today there's Timeform from Sandown's card with meets at Thirsk and Hamilton to back that up. We've backed Christmas Night a few times for some place finishes and is back on favoured AW at Wolves in the 17.35 for those of you liking lumping types - however, there's some cracking handicaps at Thirsk and unusually we have THREE for members from there below todayRead more

Yet another bounce on the bar yesterday with Our Charlie Brown who ran solid enough in 2nd behind the make all winner Raselasad..........Royal Brave was one for the lumpers in the (15.10) who cane with a typical hold up run ,leading under Danny Tudhope at the line - he looks to be still in front of the handicapper and well capable when under 85 rating. Today there's meets from Carlisle and Musselburgh with Crazy Tornado going in the 14.10 at the former - we missed his big win but as he loves the autumn he could be one for the lumpers going unpenalised for his apprentices win LTO.Read more

Slightly disappointing yesterday as we hit the bar again with our selection Billy Roberts finishing runner up at 16's to our previous winner Give It Some Teddy....we'd waited BR to get down to this sort of mark and as a back end of season performer hoped we could land a double digit priced winner. We'll see where he goes next but it's unlikely we'll have another double digit opportunity of this mark. Hopefully we have a few more up our sleeves of a similar ilk and we can push on further than the place money is giving us at the moment......well done a few of you who reported in going with a forecast following our notes :)Read more

Bank Holiday Monday used to be a tradition of some decent racing across the country....well today flatters to deceive....we'll probably toddle up to Cartmel and get wind lashed and soaked but as far as the flat is concerned we have nothing of note at Ripon despite it being 'Rowels Day'. There's Timeform below for Epsom and we'll get back at the coalface tomorrow around 8.00am.....Read more

It's been a relatively standstill month after those first two big winners we are pretty much back where we started and disappointingly yesterday we suffered our first ever RTR with Roll On Rory deciding he'd throw the white towel in on first run for Julie Camacho! We crack on with two members selections below.........Read more

The final day of the Ebor and with top class racing at Goodwood and HQ to back that up leaves us with a handful of races to look for something of value in and around C3 - C5 at Windsor & Redcar. Talking of York, Michael Dods gave us a decent priced runner this week and his charges look to be well up for it at the moment - we mentioned Mister Belvedere as our EW option in the opener yesterday who ran 2nd to a very easy winner, Titus. He followed that up with Mabs Cross only just denied in the Nunthorpe. Any follower's interested, he has Kings Gift and Mooltazem out in the (16.55).Read more

Penultimate day of the Ebor and as far as we are concerned the only handicap of potential interest would be the (13.55) Sky Bet Handicap (Class 2) where three who have been on the radar go. Reshoun is an ex-Alain de Royer-Dupré import who ran really well on final start at Donny last term. He looked to be set to continue that progress on opener at HQ but has regressed since........they reach for the cheekpieces today in a bid to sort him out and Jim Crowley rides who has done so on his 3 eye catching appearances.Read more

We hit the crossbar with INTENSE ROMANCE yesterday at Carlisle though the 12/1 bet still gave us a nett 2/1 winner to give us a tad more progress........it's Chepstow and Day 2 of the Ebor today as we look to build on the last couple of profitable placed efforts this week. We've a rare venture into C2 today for members and thoughts and suggestions are below.Read more

The start of the Ebor today sees some top class racing on the Knavesmire but nothing C3 to get us involved - of course there's the odd ones we have backed before this season stepping up in class to take their chance with Harome going in the (13.55) Sky Bet And Symphony Group Handicap (Class 2). He's come up short twice since his win and perhaps another of note is Tanasoq who was involved in earlier skirmishes when we were backing Acclaim The Nation and has progressed really well under the 'midgemeister'Read more
