Another crossbar hit as Carnageo was beaten into 2nd by an O'Meara a runner with little previous...arggghh! :( however, it's a little more place money and we are missing out on decent priced winners by the finest of margins. Glad some of you played the intro notes yesterday as Maid In India won at Ponty at a nice priced 8/1 - we don't play C2 that often in the members notes so perhaps one missed there :(.......Our our other selection Billy Roberts went a non-runner at Ponty so we'll keep an eye out for him next time out.Read more

Another placed effort with Enigmatic at Yarmouth left it a near wipes yer face day though our other selection Fumbo Jumbo hit traffic 2f out and was eased soon after, we'll keep a look out for where that goes next.............Thursday sees the start of the Ayr Gold Cup Festival and there's Timeform below. At Ponty, our local handler Eric Alston takes Maid In India over for the C2 6f sprint (15.45) - we've tried to steer clear of C2 but this one does have appeal after a return to form LTO when 2nd behind Nuns Walk - 10's looks a fair price for those looking at a small EW interest outside of members selections?Read more

A near miss with Alfred Richardson yesterday ? but we’ll take the EW portion of the 20/1 and move on with a tad of profit from our two selections. Today there’s action from Beverley, Sandown and Yarmouth with Timeform below for those looking at Sandown. A cracking conundrum at Beverley with a C5 5f sprint Westwood Handicap (16.30) that features our LTO winner, Musharrif – he won well that day but this is a different proposition from a wide draw and a whole load of pace on in this….we’ll keep his money firmly in our pocket and have one for members below that looks decent value.Read more

A cracking meet at Redcar in terms of our approach with some nice looking handicaps to have a poke at with a few of our past winners back out. Aside from that there's just Yarmouth on the turf with no interest there but for anyone looking there is supporting Timeform. Looking at Catterick (17.10) - Clenymistra goes who last week couldn't go the pace with easy winner,  Airplane but still at a winning mark (.....see last weeks review notes) but too short for us with around 7/2 on offer in a C6 - we think we have better value for member below so will pass that one over. Looking back at yesterday, although there was no members selections there was another winner from the intro notes as Kirkland Forever landed at 3/1 for EJH and Charles Bishop at Brighton.Read more

Not a whole load of action today with just Brighton on the turf.....looking at that Kirkland Forever goes in the (16.40) for EJH - still a maiden this one put up a decent showing over this track and trip last month and under Charles Bishop is around 9/2 with 4 paying places from a couple of companies. LTO he was a distance behind Zoffany Bay who was a favourite dropping a grade but this lightly raced sort shouldn't be far away for those looking outside of member selections for any small EW interest.Read more

St Leger Day today with supporting Timeform but there's nothing for us at that meet.........would like to get involved in the C2 Portland handicap with the obvious chances of Dakota Gold going for Michael Dods who we have had a couple with in the last few weeks. The trainer is clearly in-form but under 10's in a very competitive affair is not really for us and as usual we look to the supporting meets for some interest.Read more

Kenny The Captain just got nabbed close home which was a bit gutting after being heavily backed from the early 8's into 7/2f....hopefully most of you got that early BOG price and took a bit of place money. However, fear that we have lost the opportunity for a big win about him likely to be up more than the 2lb he was due to be getting after this race. Hopefully we have a few more under the radar like him before the season's up and catch a big price that we're a bit overdue. Nonetheless, that place money finally took us through the £3k.....well about £2.06 to be precise but that's better than £2.06 shy :)Read more

The lightly raced Saaheq proved the one to be on in our featured Race at Doncaster yesterday winning eased up from our selection Sheepscar Lad conceding nearly a stone coming home in 4th at just better than wipes yer face after a R4 deduction. That run at 7f behind Kynren at HQ looked to have put this one into race mode dropped back to the 5f by Michael Appleby and the heavily backed maiden came home in good style. Back to today and there's more Donny with some interest and meets at Ffos Las and Hamilton to back that up - Epsom has gone to the now infamous 'chafer grub' getting at the turf!Read more

A nice 8/1 winner for us yesterday with Jason Hart booting home INDIAN PURSUIT unchallenged at Catterick by a very big margin.......advised 8/1.......11/2 SP. We expected him to be quickly away from that low draw and he did it in fine style up the inside rail with no one else getting near him. In what could have been an exceptional day, Pearl Acclaim then landed 2nd place in the following race...advised at 16's to give us some decent place money for our two  members selections for the day. However, we can't be too greedy and those returns have edges us closer to the £3k mark and hopefully we can break through this and really crack on!Read more
