A cracking set of handicaps to 'battle' with at Hamilton and some decent volumes of runners with the Racing UK Profits Returned To Racing Handicap having to be split into two divisions of 11 runners..........we missed out on Crazy Tornado the other week that was gutting and he's back out in the last there (16.55) at a measly 4/1 . We won't be taking that on and perhaps Faye McManoman is the one to be on in terms of a little bit of value with Nigel Tinkler's Allux Boy who has plummeted the weights following 2 early career wins and wind surgery, that whilst not producing winning results has generally seen him finish just outside the places.handicapped (in our opinion!) and today they take the route of dropping him to the minimum 5f trip, though not a whole load of value at 11/2 based on previous runnings.......we've just one for members in the notes below.Read more

Yesterday's selection went a non-runner so it's straight into the Monday of York's Ebor week with meets at Leicester, Thirsk & Windsor with Timeform below for the initial of those meets. At Thirsk, Kupa River who we had massive hopes for at the bringing of the season goes in the (15.20) - he's become extremely well handicapped (in our opinion!) and today they take the route of dropping him to the minimum 5f trip, though not a whole load of value at 11/2 based on previous runnings.......we've just one for members in the notes below.Read more

Another frustrating 4th place at 14's for Dawaaleeb last night couldn't add to our tally of winners and get heading back northwards - we're straight into a Saturday Ripon has one it's biggest meets with both The Great St Wilfrid and the prior consolation sprint races. Nothing solid in those but the likes of Golden Apollo and Teruntum Star look solid EW shouts at north of 8's for those looking.Read more

It could have been better than the 4th place for our selection, Oriental Splendour yesterday who didn't get the clearest of runs and was fairly closing them down at the finish and we'll look to where he goes next. There's a couple of handicaps at Nottingham this afternoon where perhaps the pick in value is Scott Dixon's Socialites Red in the (14.00) - he's a multiple C&D winner, close to a winning mark and the outsider of the pack at 18's looks a little big and perhaps worth a small nibble. However we're of to HQ for our sole play of the day....and the very last race of the evening.Read more

Fair play to Our Little Pony who achieved what not many can do in a 5f at Beverley by winning from off the pace - like we said it was no sort of price for EW value and our selection, Kevin Ryan's charge missed a paying shop by a neck :( There's more Beverley today along with Chepstow (nearly heavy!) and Salisbury with Timeform for that one below.Read more

Straight on into Wednesday two cards - there's Timeform for Beverley and a couple of decent looking handicaps below - we've backed Our Little Pony for some profits this term and she goes again in the (17.00) - LTO here she did what isn't usually the case at Beverley and came from well off the pace to win -  It's a grade higher and the wipes yer face price doesn't appeal here. Another we have backed, Wotabreeze is out in the race prior (16.30) - again best form is away from here and difficult to recommend as the outsider of 8. We have one of interest to members from a rare excursion to Salisbury.Read more

From yesterday's notes we were wise to leave Fast Dancer in the (19.00) at Windsor - however he did finish just one outside the places at 16's in that 7 7 runner and if going in this class NTO certainly of interest. Today there's some minor meets at Ffos Las, Nottingham & Thirsk  - Saturday's runner Benjamin Thomas is back out for John Quinn at Thirsk (19.20) - he missed the break on Saturday and was doing better work at the finish though tonight's 11/2 is hardly better than wipes yer face value in a big field and we will pass over despite the ground coming right for him.Read more

With nothing out yesterday we're straight into Monday - there's disappointingly nothing going at Ripon and at Windsor if the 19.00 had been an eight+ runner would possibly have had a look at Fast Dancer in the (19.00). He's gone well for Finley Marsh this term and his only real blip was under James Doyle when stepped up to a C3 LTO at Ascot. There's a couple of strong looking 3yo's in this and he might just be high enough in the weights now with just the two paying places despite that big 14/1 available :(Read more

Very little of note today at Leicester or Windsor........Jason Watson is chasing the apprentices title and gets a decent shout with Captain Jameson in the Leicester (15.45) though at just under wipes yer face odds whilst a little more rain  will aid Ladweb's chances in the Windsor (16.35). He generally takes a couple of races to come to hand and aimed at a back end campaign's on the easier surfaces - he's won off this sort of mark and on at wipes yer face prices today but we'll certainly be tracking him in on in now.Read more
