A cracking 5 days of racing with the 'Glorious Goodwood' Festival kicking off today, as ever the speedmeister's have produced a cracking preview magazine that you can download HERE and we also have Timeform for today's card below. From yesterday's intro notes, Saturday's non-runner, ROUNDABOUT MAGIC was 3rd of 7 at Lingfield (13.50) on the AW. Oh we do love to be at Ponty on a cold wet afternoon!!!!!! After recent weather it looks like we've got that and the going may even have a bit of cut and a few decent handicaps of interest today. (15.00) Michele Strogoff has been consistent all season......SDS will look to make all but Paul Hanagan on ALMUNTHER looks a slightly better proposition in terms of value. Well that's 1o0 bets up for the season and a not too shabby near doubling of the bank with over 40% of our charges win/placing at greater than wipes yer face odds. Hopefully we can kick on now and convert a few more of those 'hit the crossbar' finishes into wins - the percentage staking we use that means bets have near doubled and a similar strike rate through the season would take us to near £5k.Read more →

Members selection, Remember The Days was done a neck at Ayr yesterday in a race that again cut up badly leaving just 6 runners - the  BOG early 8's meant a slight profit and another cross bar hit.Read more →

We've had a look at those two divisions of the Peter Chapman Handicap at Redcar and there's nothing standout or of value. The Div 1 has NT's Kilbaha Lady going off around 3's and in the subsequent race, Sir Mark Prescott's horse, Grey Spirit, was given to us a one to watch last year and likely to be odds on. Possibly both of interest to you lumpers but we'll keep the powder dry today and get back to looking at Ayr, Beverley & Windsor tomorrow.Read more →
