A big meet at Ascot heads the cards with one of our progressive winners from last term, Ballard Down out in the Listed 16.20. He still looks a case of watch and see after a couple of lack lustre displays in the Lincoln and Newbury Spring Mile, especially up in grade again

Awesome Allan could be considered a little unlucky last night - he was a length and a half down at the finish after being hampered at the furlong pole and then on really well into 3rd - the less said about Kupa River's run the better. It was a strange one with the obvious expectation and going off the favourite.
